Michel Poulin is a group member here. He's also a 32 year veteran of the Canadian armed forces and once served in Canadian military intelligence during the infamous 1980's portion of Lebanon's civil war.
Michel is also an indie published novelist.

Among his works is a short spy novel. It stands out due to it's attempt at making a coolly realistic portrayal of the paramilitary side of international espionage, no shoddily written race against the clock threats in this book. Instead the story concerns a team of CIA paramilitary officers hunting the perpetrators of a murder which claimed the lives of two Company employees running a surveillance operation on a illegal weapons deal in Spain. They arrive on site but soon realize the enemy is already within their ranks.....

CODENAME ATHENA is the first book of a series of seven books. While those books are about time travel, the heroine does see lots of action in our own time as a soldier and war reporter.
