John Howard: Similar Names page- Currently 9 plain John Howard-s separated out. 2^ is GR author, 3^ is sorted, others much less so.
In conjunction with the above is the question of
John R. Howard / John Raymond Howard - different people, but are all works on correct profiles, and are there only two authors there?
Alexander Watson: /author/show...Books on WW1, religion, DIY and gardening. Doesn't look like they are all by the same author.

William Roberts /author/show...If you use the similar name search, there are a ton of William Roberts variations (some of which probably need further fixing).

2. further disambiguation into existing profiles / creation of more profiles (particularly with common names)
3. checking whether they are disambiguated correctly.

While there is no policy on this, I recommend keeping the general undisambiguated profile as the 1^ profile, this helps with seeing your own work more clearly. It also means that when someone adds a new work it starts off at the undisambiguated profile, rather than on a definitely wrong profile.
