There is no genre filtering.
If you are only willing to review your own preferred genres then sorry, but you’re better off finding a group that specialises in your preference, or joining one of the 18+ rounds or a ‘clean� review round. In this general group you might be asked to review fiction/non-fiction, adults�/children’s books, a religious text, BDSM, or anything in between. Allocation is entirely random and there will NOT be any rearranging of the listing to accommodate genre preference. The ONLY circumstance in which you may duck out of giving a review is if YOU provide a stand-in reviewer.

Let’s be honest here � we don’t all like the same things but we all want reviews. The only way this group can function is if we trust each other to behave honourably. And it IS perfectly possible to give a fair-minded review of a text that does not coincide with our normal choice of reading matter. If you need a few hints/tips, please see this thread:

Do not sign up until you have completed all your reviews in another review round in the group.

Make sure you have an author profile set up before you join and that your book is available for sale on amazon (not pre-0rder).
Make sure your profile allows people to message you, i.e. your profile is not set to private.

Please let me know as you sign up if you have been reviewed by, or have reviewed another author in the group. It is permissible to review an author more than once if a different book is available, but reciprocal reviews within the group are strictly prohibited.

It does, especially for people that have participated in several groups. As a group fill up it becomes increasingly more difficult to make sure all reviews will be non-reciprocal if there are review connections between members.
The earlier people sign up, the less connections and more books they have, the more likely it is that they can be fitted in a group. I operate a first come, first served policy, but occasionally if including a particular member means several others cannot participate, I'll bump them on to a subsequent group to get things moving.

Hi, I and my wife would both like to sign up , if possible, as long as we don't get each other's books! We have read each other's already of course! We each have profiles and each have a novel needing reviews. My book is Dream Faces, and hers is Legally Gone. She will log into the group separately, of course, I just wanted to point out the relationship. Anyway, count us in!

Firstly, it must be wonderful to share your passion for writing with your wife.
But I'm afraid you'll have to join separate groups. In order to keep you apart, you would have to review the books of the people reviewing your spouse, which could cause conflicts.
I know you'd be totally honest, but there could be a perceived bias. For example, if you were reviewing a book whose author had given your spouse a poor rating, you might feel somewhat more critical of that book, or they might feel uncomfortable giving a poor rating if the person loved your book.

Its best to keep the whole thing separate.
Pick which one of you wants to join this one, and watch out for the next round to open.

Roxana, you've signed up to this group and the novella group, which one do you want to be in?
if you go for the novella round and do all your reviews before this one fills up, you could then join this one, but rules are, one group at a time.
We have had some people sign up to multiple groups and then drop out, this way, only the members of a single group are inconvenienced if someone goes AWOL.

I signed up for the other group, however, you can count on me even if I sign up for 10 groups. I never drop out and my turn around for reading is usually a book a day, even if I have other things to do.

I'll look forward to seeing you back in the group when you've finished the novella round!

Please remember the commitment you are making to your fellow group members. If you pull out after the start date for any reason it is the other members who will be faced with the problem of finding a replacement, or missing out on reviews, through no fault of their own. Please don’t ask the moderators to chase after replacements as we just don’t have the time.

Postings to any other sites are by agreement by both author and reviewer.

Emma, is there a reason I was removed from this group?

Sorry if I come off a little dense, but I have never done this before, and I don't see a way to convert my book to mobi file in Word , I have Windows 10. I can do a Word doc or pdf. Or is mobi called something else in Word?

Since you couldn't be in the Review round without a book on Amazon, the simplest thing to do is log into your KDP account and open the relevant book details page. Scroll down to the preview section where you will see about 4 options. One will be an option to download a preview copy of your Amazon title. It will, of course, be in mobi format.
