lyra was born in denver, colorado, to her two loving yet extremely busy parents whom ran a large technology company. since her parents were often away during the day, frequently on trips, or at home making phone calls and telling her not to disturb them; she never built a truly strong relationship with them. her best friend growing up was her younger sister, anna, who was two years younger than she was. having ever changing nannies taking care of them and parents which were always away, they could always trust another even in tough situations.
she grew up learning to code. she was the oldest, and her parents expected her to take over the company once they passed. however, it was clear that she wasn't meant for that, and she was more interested in athletics than computers. her parents supported that, now all expectations riding on anna rather than her, and she devoted her time to tennis. she quickly got rather good, proving that her talents lied far more in tennis than anything else.
her parents decided to send lyra to vanderbilt for what would be her high school years, seeing that many other respectable citizens decided to send their talented children there, and at age fourteen, she began to attend. she quickly blended in with the other wealthy kids there, particularly the athletes in ace since she, and she even learned to like it. it became her home away from home, and she found friends to comfort her although there were vicious cliques.
when she was fifteen, she decided to start her youtube channel, talking about her life, sports from time to time, fandom related things, and just random matters which she liked. she didn't expect success, though after a year, she racked up over 100k subscribers. currently, she plays tennis, makes friends, and keeps up with her channel.

He's quite tall with shaggy blonde hair and a muscular build. He looks fairly rough, but also extremely handsome. His brown eyes have been known to make girls melt back. In terms of style, he likes durable clothes and wears them till they're worn through, which makes him look as if he's not a rich boy.

When his mother, Mara, died, Luke had a really hard time accepting it. When his father told him to man up and move on, he instead rebelled and fell in with the wrong crowd. He was fifteen and had a drug addiction. His dad didn't even know, and his sister was away at a prestigious school. His dad got remarried, but he didn't care and didn't even try to get to know his new step-mom, he even skipped the wedding! But on the night of the wedding, he got into some really bad stuff and was arrested. He got one phone call, and he called his father's secretary instead of his dad directly. He didn't expect his father to show up, and he was right, but his step-mother did. Luke was utterly shocked to see her, but she paid his bail without a complaint and didn't even scold him for what he had done. She went back to silence and it infuriated him. He confronted her about ignoring him but she just calmly said that's what she thought he wanted. She then explained that she had always wanted a son and she didn't want to screw this up. She wanted him to like her and told him that much, stating that she would like to get to know him if she could...if he would allow her to. He was dumbfounded and didn't know what to do. She had been the only one who showed him any care, and so he had to say yes. She convinced him to get help with his addiction and he agreed, promptly leaving for a rehab camp for two years. Then she recommended the Vanderbilt institute, so he applied and was accepted.

(view spoiler)[ t ] here are people out there who are pretty two-faced, and Teagan is among them. Or perhaps he's the worst of them. He can be sweet one moment, and ice cold the next. His allegiance to others has always been questionable, and he's more than a little vocal about it. To be frank, he's all for telling the truth, especially if it means he can get his kicks out of it. But that's where the problem lies, or what people think is the problem. How can he be so two-faced, and yet so truthful? The thing is, people have a tendency to avoid the truth if they think it hurts. If they think it could damage the image of the world that they have, they turn away from it. That's how Teagan does it, he tells the truth, but the most important facts come only when they really want.

Life has always been interesting for Teagan because of this. The world was his stage, and he was the greatest player. People expected much from him, and got enough that they could look past the fact that they could be betrayed by him at the drop of a dime. They looked past whatever indiscretion he did because it wasn't the truth they wanted. His mother, even, tended to dote on him and praise him for things he never did just because it was the image of her son that she wanted to see. He didn't mind this, though it kind of hurt. It might have stung that she needed to lie to herself to love him the way she does. His father was barely around for him to even know what the man thought, and thus was of no consequence to him.
Teagan supposes that his honesty is what has him so admired in the athletic world. He concedes defeat graciously, and accepts victory humbly. Sure, he's got a big mouth and his emotions are in their truest, purest forms at all times. But, that doesn't really mix with sports. He doesn't understand why the things he does can never seem to go wrong on the court. It's like he can be forgiven once he has that ball or racket in his hand. Tennis, the responsibility rides solely on him, but with basketball or volleyball, it's a team effort. He has to get along with those people, or face inevitable defeat. And it seems like he could never get along with them, but his teammates seem to love that two-sided part of him. Maybe it's the adrenaline going straight to their heads, or maybe they've got a screw loose, but he loves it. And which is why he loves to play.

( W ) illa is an ace, her main focus in high school being sports and athletics. she started as a freshman doing soccer and volleyball, but strayed from volleyball her sophomore year, mainly as she was growing incredibly too short at 5'0' to play, especially when everyone else on her team was five foot seven or taller. she stuck with soccer, although now does cheerleading and general strengthening at the gym as well. she is not a scholarship student, easily being able to afford the luxurious, elite price of going to vanderbilt, and honestly is glad she is not on a scholarship. although she hasn't been one partaking in these adventures, many students throughout her four years have teased those scholarship kids.
( W ) illa looks like almost an opposite of her sister: short with shoulder length wavy brown hair, very different than her sister's vibrant platinum blonde hair. she sometimes complains that her sister looks much prettier than she does, but she really shouldn't be saying that as she rarely ever, on a regular day, wears makeup or does anything more than just washing her face. usually she at least attempts to look fashionable, but usually comfort trumps fashion. she will dress up and put on at least some makeup if her family has an event or dinner of some sort, but for everyday wear she'd really just wear leggings and sweatshirts if she could.
( W ) illa wasn't exactly a troublemaker, but she still liked to play jokes on people, most jokes harmless. she was still sweet and polite to everyone, but anyone she knew well would be subject to a joke or two of hers. she always did well in school, even if she was just tutored, as she could pick up things quickly as she was fairly bright and clever. she developed a penchant for design after random sketching when she was bored, and now has a desire to become an architect someday.
( I ) f one was asked, many words would easily come to mind about willa: flamboyant, charming, amusing, and many more. she has a certain personality-one where all her traits join together to create an overall great person. although she's not perfect (and meeting her for even a short period of time will reveal that), she is socially and mentally smart, always knowing the right thing to say and knowing how to, at least, not fail in school. or how to do the least possible amount of work and get away with it, at least. because of all the clubs she's in, her personality, and overall her involvement in the school at vanderbilt, some people get really annoyed at her and say they get overwhelmed by her, but willa tries to not let that get in her way.
( W ) illa had a fairly luxurious childhood, growing up in a beautiful home in washington, d.c. her parents were both politicians, and they were always busy with one thing or another during her early childhood. her grandmother lived with willa and her sister when they were very young, and would take care of them and be their own private tutor until they became the age to start primary school. by then, her beloved grandmother had passed on, and she had someone hired to take care of her when her parents were not around. she grew up very close to her older sister, emily, and would often want to follow exactly what she did.
( W ) illa was very talkative, and some would even say popular, in elementary school and middle school, but popularity had a different meaning there than it means now at vanderbilt. at her old schools, it meant to be funny and kind to everyone, as there were many scholarship students at her old school, even though it was an elite academy, and popularity was less focused on who you were wearing or who you hung out with. because of this not being considered something 'uncool', willa spent most time reading or writing amateur stories, although they were never very good. instead, as she got older, she liked drawing and design more and more. she could have been incredibly spoiled as a child, but she never asked for more than she wanted and was taught to be modest in what she asked for.

Eli is friendly to almost everyone he meets, but he isn't blind. He recognizes the difference between the scholarship and non-scholarship students, but he doesn't do much about it. Everything he does has a purpose, whether it's good or bad. He never does anything for free, even if he seems to be a nice guy. But he really doesn't care about anything else but himself, maybe even some of his brides. He likes to swim and box, almost always found in the gym when not at some party.

Biography::He grew up in a family of four. No sisters. His family was perfect, not a struggle they went through.
Then it all changed when rumors about his father cheating on his mother, and her committing suicide for a guilt no one knew about. Two years later, he is still struggling with the loss of his mother.
He didn't know how to respect woman, not when their own mother was always on heavy meds for the depression she went through. He and his brother blamed his father, because he couldn't keep his crap together.
He was sent to the academy as a punishment, and wasn't sure why they'd let him attend for being if he was such a mess. He didn't complain though, not when that meant both he and his brother got away from their dad.
He then found out the best drugs to forget his problems- speed and sports. He became obsessed with fast things, and sports made him only think of one thing: winning.

{g}eorgia grew up in new york city. her moms were both on gotham city, one of the best roller derby teams in the world. she had been going to the games ever since she was a baby and utterly fell in love with everything skating was. growing up in that environment caused her to be incredibly competitive, as well as holding herself to high standards. she's been skating ever since she could walk, and takes it very seriously. she began with figure skating. too young for the full contact roller derby and not being able to meet the dedication needed for speed, her moms enrolled her for classes at the local rink. even at a young age she had an amazing talent for what she did. she was regularly winning competitions when she took up speed skating. that was fulfilling in a different way; a chance to make her lungs burn and her muscles ache from 15 minutes of pure sprinting. people underestimated her because of her size, which only made her work harder for what she wanted. she wanted to be the best. she wanted to make it to the olympics, and she didn't care how.
{d}uring team usa tryouts for junior roller derby when she was 12, georgia took a nasty hit and went down. the guy who hit her was 18 and a foot taller than her, but with how good she was even at such a young age he decided that she was the most dangerous person to his jammer. she could barely get up, and when she did she could put no weight on her left knee. believe me, she tried to keep on playing, but her moms forced her to gear down. it turns out that she tore her acl and needed surgery. this was utterly devastating for her. she couldn't skate for a couple weeks, she couldn't train, she couldn't do anything but go to school and hope that it would get better. after that she pushed herself way harder. she spent hours upon hours in the gym until, eventually, she was able to get back on skates again.
{e}ven when vanderbilt noticed her skills and offered her a scholarship she didn't consider herself good enough. sure, she was sweet and sunny to people who were to her, but she knew that the school would be full of prissy rich kids who thought that she was the dirt underneath their feet. desperate to prove them wrong, she poured everything she had left into training. sacrificing sleep so she could keep everything up, she managed to balance school and all of her training. sure, she was probably being super unhealthy, but she'd give up anything and everything to reach her goals.

“To be completely honest, no. On the rink or field, yeah, but when it comes to academics I'm not a fan of teamwork. Not because I don't think it's important or useful � but more often than not only one or two of the team members end up doing most of the work in group projects, so I don't have much faith in academic teamwork anymore.�

“W, I'd like to say that I'm going to play professionally � but I'm probably going to end up stuck behind a desk for the rest of my life, I don't think Dad's willing to wait for my little brother to graduate.�
How do you feel about the idea of one day inheriting Kwon Industries?
“W, one day is supposed to be the end of the year, when I graduate, so I'm kind of terrified? I know that it's nothing my parents haven't prepared me for, but there's a difference between being told how to run a company and actually running it. Of course, Dad's probably going to be telling me exactly what to do even once he retires, just because he's not very good at taking a step back.�

description :: Theo tends to come off as uncaring and distant. He’s usually a bit wary and secretive around people he doesn’t know, and even with people he does. He can still be kind and a bit of a gentleman if he wasn’t to, but it’s all just an act to keep people from asking questions. In general, Theo doesn’t like people all that much. His entire life has been people hurting him and betraying him, so needless to say, human beings in general just aren’t his favorite. He has a hot temper that can come and go without much provocation. It’s easy to get a rise out of Theo, bait him just the tiniest bit and he’ll always be the one to start a fight. He has never been one to solve things with words, and is much more likely to solve all of his problems with a fist to someone’s face. Despite the fact that Theo loves to go to parties, fool around with girls and pretty much everything else that makes you think extrovert, he still needs a lot of time alone. Theo likes to have time to himself to just be in his thoughts without anyone else intruding. Usually he’ll just disappear for a while, climb a tree and watch the boats go by in the harbor, or use a fire escape to get onto the top of an apartment building. Theo loves to be high up, to be able to look down and see the city spread out before him.
When it comes to relationships, his attention span is very short. He flits from relationships with the ease of a butterfly, never staying in one spot for long. Commitment to him is just another form of being tied down, and he has no desire to be in a long-term relationship. Most of his relationships are based on desire rather than emotion. Theo does “date� per say, but that doesn’t stop him from flirting with other girls even if he is in a relationship. The longest he has ever dated someone was 3 months and that relationship hadn’t ended well. Most of the time he just enjoys the company of a girl for a night or two, and then moves on. This is mainly because Theo has a desperate need for freedom. He is terrified of being tied down and not having control of his own life.
Of course, like most people, Theo does have a few redeeming qualities that make it hard to completely hate him. One of them is how much he loves kids. He has been around little kids his entire life and despite his usual rough manner, he is amazingly gentle with them. There is no denying that his eyes positively light up when he is playing around with young kids. Their innocents amaze him, and he works hard to keep them happy and safe. On the topic of children, Theo also has a childish side to him. He had to grow up too fast, but he is amazed by the smallest details that no one else would notice. Things like flowers, or birds, interest him with a childlike amazement. In a world of terrible, Theo uses those nice little moments to keep himself from totally despairing. Another thing that can be said about Theo is that he is perfectly comfortable with who he is. He isn’t self conscious about pretty much anything. Last but most definitely not least, is loyalty. Loyalty is a strange thing for Theo, since it’s almost impossible to gain it. But while it might be hard to get Theo’s loyalty, once you have it, he is yours forever.
Theo's life wasn't exactly perfect. He grew up with a single mother since his father died in the army. The house wasn't exactly a nice place to stay, his mother worked most of the time and when she wasn't working she was drinking. Theo spent most of his time out of the house, either at a friends house or at school. Eventually home life became so unbearable When Theo was around 11 that he started only coming home from couch surfing at other people's houses around once a week just to check that his mother was still in fact alive. Life would have really sucked if it hadn't been for the help that came from every part of his community. His best friend James's parents practically adopted him since he stayed at their house every night. The rest of the people at his school all chipped in to donate sports equipment, school supplies, things like that. Theo's obsession with soccer and track started around when his mother had started drinking a lot more (so around age 9). Over the next years, Theo spent almost all his time on the track or the soccer field. The worse his mother got, the more time he spent practicing. And practice really does make perfect and soon Theo was the best kid on his soccer team. Scouts actually somehow heard about this time school he went to and started coming around to see him. Soccer wasn't his only big thing though. Theo ran as well. Sprints mostly but long distance as well. It helped that his academics were pretty amazing. Since Theo had never wanted to be at home, he had spent as long as he could at school before and after the day ended, asking teachers questions, going to clubs, anything to keep him out of the house. The only downside was that he also got into trouble a lot because detention was one of the best ways to have to stay at school. When a scout offered him a place at Vanderbilt, Theo accepted right away, no questions asked.

description : lyssa sadie brooks was born on an ever clear night in malaysia. it was integral for her mother that her daughter be born in the country where she grew up. the culture and traditions were very important to her mother and that side of the family. although the brooks rarely talk to the maternal part of the family, internal respect still lies in the customs that commemorate the two lifestyles.
although lyssa was born in asia, she grew up in the dense forests of minnesota. she spent most of her childhood with her paternal grandparents because her parents were too busy traveling with each other in bliss. she didn't understand the consequences of being in love with another person, but also money. her grandfather never approved of his son's behavior. when he remarried, his temper cooled and he settled into the domestic lifestyle he avoided like the plague when he was younger. love had finally bloomed in his heart and he gave it all to his wife and grandchild.
in the beginning of her academic career, lyssa was fairly awful at school. she cried too much, studied too little, and played outside too long after dark. her step-grandmother realized that lyssa had too much energy and no way to take it out thus not being able to properly focus in school. she enrolled lyssa in the local softball team, but it was to no avail. lyssa couldn't fit into the team dynamic of the game. it wasn't until the peak of 5th grade in the public school system that lyssa fostered a love and talent for cross-country. the contemplative and competitive sport fit the youngster's spirit and elevated her academics exponentially. the news of a prodigy reached her father and he flew his wife and himself back home to stay -- for good. from that point on, they were a solid, imperishable family. it was also the point at which her mother started to plan for her successful future. she showered her daughter in gifts and the utmost training which resulted in the acceptance at vanderbilt academy. it was without resolve that elly and jon sent their daughter off to the races with hopeful gazes. lyssa wasn't thrilled to leave her quaint home and family for a foreign place, but she copes with her love of shopping and going for runs late into the evening. one of her favorite activities is watching the sun set on the landscape. it reminds her that there is so much more to life than the vanderbilt isles and one day, she could explore it all, just like her parents.
