Sara Title: Death Wears a Mask
Author: Ashley Weaver
Was it scary? Suspenseful?: Not scary, but intriguing. The characters are so entertaining. You are trying to solve the mystery and there's some suspense inherent in that, but it is more of a lightweight mystery (my favorite kind)
Would you recommend?: Absolutely. For anyone who likes female leads with attitude, 1920's London, and Agatha Christie.

Title: The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line
Author: Rob Thomas
Was it scary? Suspenseful?: Not scary, some suspense, but again, this is more about characters with spunk
Would you recommend?: Yes for fans of Veronica Mars for sure!

Katherine (kiik) | 158 comments Title: The Silkworm
Author: Robert Galbraith (J. K. Rowling)
Was it scary? Suspenseful? Not scary, a bit suspenseful, but entertaining, for sure. I really had no idea whodunit until it was revealed, even though I had many assumptions.
Recommend? Sure! Mystery isn't really my genre, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I enjoy the series and plan to continue it.

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 643 comments Title: And Then There Were None
Author: Agatha Christie
Was it scary? Suspenseful?: Yes, absolutely. I found it very suspenseful and I was kept guessing all the way up until. Some of the scenes were very scary.
Would you recommend?: Yes, absolutely.

Shilpi | 21 comments Title: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
Author: Agatha Christie
Was it scary? Suspenseful?: Scary-No; Suspenseful-Yes!
Would you recommend?: Absolutely.

message 6: by Janet (new)

Janet Cripe (jcripe) | 39 comments Title: What the Night Knows
Author: Dean Koontz
Was it scary or suspenseful? Creepy more than scary. Koontz does such a good job of taking those typical moments of peripheral movements and shadows and making them something sinister.

Would you recommend it? I would definitely recommend if you like your thriller novels with a healthy dose of optimism or insight into faith.

message 7: by Megan (new)

Megan (mghrt06) | 546 comments Title: In the Woods

Author: Tana French

Was it scary? Suspenseful? Suspenseful. Not Scary at all. A longer read than I was expecting.

Would you recommend? Yep. And I can't wait to read the other books this author has written.

message 8: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Holbrook (jessicalh08) | 133 comments Title: The Girl on the Train
Author: Paula Hawkins
Was it scary? Suspenseful? Scary, no. Suspenseful, somewhat.
Would you recommend? Yes, I definitely enjoyed it!
