I have been reading this book for my Crime piece of pie. The copy I have from the library is wonderfully annotated, which was just luck. I could as easily have received a beat- up paperback copy.
I am almost mid-way through and the plot thickens.

This is my favorite Sherlock Holmes actually. I can see how the picture of the hound would be terrifying though!

Try it, Debra! It was my first book by the author & I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it at all. It’s a good read but fairly short so it won’t take up too much of your time. Hope you enjoy it.

That’s good - it will be good to know what you think of the book.

I’m glad you enjoyed it, Debra. I aim to read A Study in Scarlet some time soon.
I started reading all the Sherlock Holmes books about a year ago, mostly in order, and am hooked on Holmes and Watson.

Rosemarie, do you have a favorite?
My favourite of the novels so far is The Sign of Four, but I like the others too. A Study in Scarlet is the first book. We learn how Holmes and Watson become a team.
