11/22/63 by Stephen King.
Loved the time travel aspect of the book and as I'm also a huge fan of historical fiction loved the 'history lesson.'
It makes you think what the world would have been like if President Kennedy hadn't been assassinated. What would have been different?
2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.
Narnia. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is such a classic that I have read many times in my life. I would love to see Narnia (maybe in happier times though.)
3. SQUAD GOALS: Your favourite bookish group of friends.
The bounty hunting crew from the Stephanie Plum series.
I know these books aren't great but they are a quick, fun read when you need light reading.
I love the friendship between Stephanie and Lula and I will admit I get a little fangirl-ish about Ranger. *blush*
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Your favourite mentally unhinged character.
Again I know The Plum series isn’t great but the granny in it is awesome. Crazy, unpredictable and so very funny.
I mean who goes to funeral viewings as a social outing. lol
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A book that was the opposite of what you expected.
Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain by Portia de Rossi. I wasn’t expecting it to be quite as good and as raw as it was. My only negative point was how quickly Miss de Rossi ended the book. I would have liked to read more about her road to recovery.
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of.
Probably the government in The Hunger Games. The craziness of watching tributes kill each other for entertainment.
7. DEMOGORGON: The scary bookish creature that you would not want to come through your walls.
The freaky clown from It. I saw the movie as a kid and got so traumatised by the drain scene that I never read the book.
Last year I did read it and it freaked me out so much.
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: A book that left you wanting more.
Tears of the Moon by Di Morrissey.
There was so many topics with this book, from Pearl farming in Broome to WWI, human slavery to the Aboriginal stolen generation.
After reading this book I now want to travel to Broome to see the pearl farms and luggers and experience this beautiful place.

Good YA fiction usually does that. One of the more recents is The Sun Is Also a Star.
2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.
The one in Dragons (more from the movies than the How to Train books, but it'd be fine with the 2nd, even if it's less exciting as a woman).
3. SQUAD GOALS: Your favourite bookish group of friends.
Not counting duos, the bunch in The Long Way to A Small and Angry Planet was quite nice and they worked well together.
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Your favourite mentally unhinged character.
I think it's Zifnab from the Death Gate cycle. He's a mad old wizard who does references to Gandalf. I was quite fond of him the 1st time and he's still fun at each re-read.
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A book that was the opposite of what you expected.
Hollow World, definitely. I expected a frightening time travel book, I ended in a warm utopia :p
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of.
Battle Royale has a mad government, so probably this one.
7. DEMOGORGON: The scary bookish creature that you would not want to come through your walls.
The things in Bird Box, because you can't look at them. It seems complicated to defend yourself against them and to not see them if they appear randomly in your house.
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: A book that left you wanting more.
The Invisible Library. The 1st volume was compelling and fun but there were so many questions unanswered and at this time the sequel wasn't announced!

2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Lord of the Rings
3. SQUAD GOALS: Hmmm, I guess I would have to go with The Historian
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Owen Meany
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: Providence
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: 1984
7. DEMOGORGON: The beast from The Terror
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: Pet Sematary

2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Divergent
3. SQUAD GOALS: Gossip Girl
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Adelina The Young Elites
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: The Death Cure
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: 1984 I agree with Jennifer on this one. Or The Hunger Games simply because children fight to the death,
7. DEMOGORGON: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Dementors are terrifying
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: The Black Key

All the Bright Places. I read quite a bit of YA, and this one grabbed my attention from the start because the opening pages were so different from most other YA books.
2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.
Definitely Narnia, although probably not while the White Witch is in charge.
3. SQUAD GOALS: Your favourite bookish group of friends.
Harry, Ron and Hermione...and especially if you throw in some of the others, like Ginny, Luna and Neville also.
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Your favourite mentally unhinged character.
Probably the Phantom from The Phantom of the Opera, although I like the way he was in the movie/play a bit better than in the book.
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A book that was the opposite of what you expected.
Definitely Enter Title Here. I thought it was going to be a typical high school story, but it ended up having a lot more depth and a very interesting (but unlikable) main character.
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of.
I have to agree about The Hunger Games. Many of the other dystopian worlds I've read are horrible, but you can still survive in them fairly well as long as you follow the rules. In The Hunger Games, it's all down to random chance whether you get chosen or not, and if you do, there's only a slim chance of surviving.
7. DEMOGORGON: The scary bookish creature that you would not want to come through your walls.
The ghost from Little Girls. Ghosts have always freaked me out, ever since I watched The Sixth Sense when I was way too young to watch it. This ghost in particular was extremely creepy.
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: A book that left you wanting more.
A Monster Calls. Don't get me wrong, I think it ended perfectly where it did, but I didn't want the book to be over so soon!

2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.- Despite my 3 star rating I thought The Eyre Affair an interesting concept...wish I could peek into other things happening in works of literature.
3. SQUAD GOALS: Your favourite bookish group of friends. Reading with Style group
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Your favourite mentally unhinged character. Probably Elizabeth Mapp from the Mapp & Lucia series.
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A book that was the opposite of what you expected. Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of. I don't read many of those...but recently read and disliked The Iron Heel
7. DEMOGORGON: The scary bookish creature that you would not want to come through your walls.- Can't think of anything...I don't read much horror
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: A book that left you wanting more.
The Tales of the City series.

A Christmas Carol
2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.
The Chronicles of Narnia
3. SQUAD GOALS: Your favourite bookish group of friends.
From Harry Potter: The Weasleys
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Your favourite mentally unhinged character.
Wullfe from the Moon Called series.
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A book that was the opposite of what you expected.
Sadly, Brooklyn
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of.
Unwind - parents selling unruly teens for parts...
7. DEMOGORGON: The scary bookish creature that you would not want to come through your walls.
Dolores Jane Umbridge from Harry Potter. That woman is creepy!
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: A book that left you wanting more.
Oh so many... the first one I remember not being able to wait for the sequel was Far From Home ( I think, it may have been one of the other books in this series).

I'm going with The Restaurant at the End of the Universe since the start is so impressive that I find myself re-reading it (alone) all the time.
2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.
I like to put Xanth here, since its a fairly non-dangerous tropical paradise with Fantasy creatures (and nudity). But after reading Robert Asprin's Myth series, I feel like exploring the myriad dimensions of that world. More to see after all.
3. SQUAD GOALS: Your favourite bookish group of friends.
Everybody at my workplace reads and has good taste in books.
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Your favourite mentally unhinged character.
There are so many! I'm leaning toward The Chief from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest because he's in recent memory and seems like a cool guy to hang out with (unlike others who might randomly stab you)
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A book that was the opposite of what you expected.
The Man Who Was Thursday: A Nightmare is in recent memory. Slaughterhouse-Five also comes to mind.
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of.
Uh ours? Yeah, or 1984.
7. DEMOGORGON: The scary bookish creature that you would not want to come through your walls.
I sure wouldn't want to face a Balrog. But I am a pretty fast sprinter. What I'd really hate to face is anything which could control my mind and actions or impersonate me and make me act poorly in front of friends and family.
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: A book that left you wanting more.
The Princess Bride!

2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.: I kinda already do this, but Azeroth comes to mind here! (Homeworld for World of Warcraft)
3. SQUAD GOALS: Your favourite bookish group of friends.: I haven't really found one I consider a favorite, or even well liked!
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Your favourite mentally unhinged character.: Don't really have one...
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A book that was the opposite of what you expected.: Ginger's Heart by Katy Regnery...really thought it was going to be a Menagé story, and was very disappointed it wasn't.
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of.: Ann Aguirre's Enclave series, it's almost feral at times.
7. DEMOGORGON: The scary bookish creature that you would not want to come through your walls.: I don't read horror, so I'm going to have to go with a bookworm here. I don't want my few remaining print books eaten!
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: A book that left you wanting more.: The Pattern Artist by Nancy Moser. I was left wondering what happened to the business she wanted to undertake!

My favorite first line is “You bitch! You killed me! You suck! - because, well, dead people don't curse. You Suck Is a fun ride from there.
I also really loved the intro to Anna Karenina: “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. Because, well, what a setup!
2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.
Hogwarts! Is there another choice?? :)
3. SQUAD GOALS: Your favourite bookish group of friends.
Well, Harry, Ron and Hermione, of course. I am also partial to The Three Musketeers and D'Artagnan, because I read that book many times as a kid. Just loved it.
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Your favourite mentally unhinged character.
Hmm. Jenny Lawson counts, right? She is hilarious.
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A book that was the opposite of what you expected.
The Turn of the Screw. I like classics and expected a thrilling, well written story with compelling characters. I got a disorganized mess with stupid characters freaking out for no reason. Made no sense and the writing was terrible.
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of.
The entire cast of Agatha Heterodyne and the Beetleburg Clank and all its 15 continuations is made up of mad, genius scientists - and silly steampunk adventures ensue with crossings and doubke crossings, and really no functioning goverment. But they are all mad in a fun way.
7. DEMOGORGON: The scary bookish creature that you would not want to come through your walls.
Dolores Umbridge. (shudders)
8.Cliffhanger: A Dance with Dragons. Come on, when is it coming out?? What's up with Jon Snow????

2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: not sure as I don't read to many fantasy books
3. SQUAD GOALS: The Vampire Diaries
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Damon from Vampire diaries
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: Gone Girl
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: nothing for this one either sorry
7. DEMOGORGON: It Pennywise
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: Cell

2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A Game of Thrones
3. SQUAD GOALS: Don't know
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: can't think of one right now
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: A Man Called Ove
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The Hunger Games
7. DEMOGORGON: Pennywise
8. CLIFFHANGER ENDING: The Shadow of the Wind

2. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Lord of the Rings, especially a place like the Shire
3. SQUAD GOALS: The Paul Street Boys
4. ABC’s & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Queen Levana from Cinder.
5. THE UPSIDE DOWN: Gone Girl
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The Hunger Games

Hogwarts, minus the Voldermorty parts.

Big Little Lies - I don't usually read chick lit, or mysteries. This was both and I loved it!
6. MAD SCIENTISTS: The freakiest dystopian government you can think of.
Definitely 1984.
