Our Group Read for January 2017 is How To Be a Tudor: A Dawn-to-Dusk Guide to Tudor Life, by Ruth Goodman.

This look at how people lived in 16th century England came out at the end of 2015, and should be widely available in most formats, and in both libraries and bookstores.

So excited for this!

I started this night before last, and I am enjoying it a great deal.

I find this very interesting but it's not the "escape" I look for in the middle of winter. lol

I love Goodman's expertise, particularly her experiences in being wholly immersed in the lifestyle. I enjoyed both the series and the book Tudor Monastery Farm and I find this book to be much like the other, but magnified by 10.
