Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett
What is the fictional place?
Discworld
Would you like to visit it?
I'd absolutely love to, even more now I'll be able to travel by train.

- What is the fictional place? Elvis the King Space Station
- Would you like to visit it? - Now that the Doctor has taken care of things, sure!

What is the fictional place? The entire fictional Grisha world
Would you like to visit it? I'd like to meet the characters, though I'm not so keen on visiting there.

What is the fictional place? The entire fictional Grisha world
Would you like to visit it? I'd like to meet the characters, though I'm not so keen on visiting there."
I'm reading this one as well :-)
But no, it's not a world I would like to visit. It seems a bit rough.

- What is the fictional place? The 3 Kingdoms of Tregellen, Lormere and Talith.
- Would you like to visit it? Not sure yet

- What is the fictional place? B 612 and several other tiny planets the prince visits.
- Would you like to visit it? Honestly? Probably not. None of the inhabitants of these planets were people I'd get on well with.

The Silver Chair
What is the fictional place?
Narnia
Would you like to visit it?
Sure I would love to visit it during its Golden Age, which was when the Pevensie children ruled.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer.
What is the fictional place?
New Beijing
Would you like to visit it?
Not really.

A Wrinkle in Time - Madeleine L'Engle
- What is the fictional place?
There are several fictional places, but the main one is Camazotz
- Would you like to visit it?
No, the place is ruled by an evil loveless brain. That and I'm not much into space travel, I'm quite content with staying on planet Earth, plenty to see in a lifetime here!

The Marvelous Land of Oz
- What is the fictional place?
Oz
- Would you like to visit it?
Maybe

The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien.
What is the fictional place?
Middle Earth.
Would you like to visit it?
I think not. Too many orcs.

The Finisher by David Baldacci
- What is the fictional place?
Wormwood inside the Quag
- Would you like to visit it?
Not for me

Nitro Mountain: A novel, by Lee Clay Johnson.
- What is the fictional place?
Nitro Mountain, Virginia.
- Would you like to visit it?
I've been to Virginia before but not this cruddy, wasted, small town mountain at the foothills. I would not want to hang out in Nitro Mountain. I think I'd probably develop a pretty serious substance abuse problem.

Skip Trace
- What is the fictional place?
The Chaos- A space ship and a Space Station
- Would you like to visit it?
Sure, seems like a nice place to go.

Red Queen by Christina Henry
- What is the fictional place?
It is set outside the walls of the Old City.
- Would you like to visit it?
If I were a magician like Alice then sure!

Where the mountain meets the moon by Grace Lin
What is the fictional place?
The Valley of the Fruitless Mountain.
Would you like to visit it?
Yes, the pictures in the book are really beautiful.

The Wednesday Wars
- What is the fictional place?
Camillo Junior High, Long island, NY
- Would you like to visit it?
Not particularly. The novel takes place in the late 60s, I bet it would have changed a lot since then.

Berättelser från Engelsfors by Sara Bergmark Elfgren, Mats Strandberg and more
What is the fictional place?
Engelsfors
Would you like to visit it?
No, too much death.

- What is the fictional place? Dustwalk in Miraji
- Would you like to visit it? Not really. It sounds very inhospitable, although it could be interesting the magical part.

How to Speak Dragonese
What is the fictional place?
The Isle of Berk in the Barbaric Archipelago
Would you like to visit it?
It depends on how long the visit is for. I think would enjoy seeing dragons and Vikings, but I'm not too keen on a diet of primarily fish, or weather that is predominantly on the moist side of things.

- What is the fictional place? The world of witches and wizardry, e.g Hogsmeade
- Would you like to visit it? Yes, of course. :) I think these places are so interesting.

- What is the fictional place? - What are you reading for this category?

- Would you like to visit it? No, it seemed pretty grim and depressing

Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
What is the fictional place?
The kingdom
Would you like to visit it?
It might be interesting

Crooked Kingdom
What is the fictional place?
It's mostly set in Ketterdam, which is a city in Kerch, which is a country in a fictional universe. Pretty thorough world building going on here.
Would you like to visit it?
On one hand, it's kind of unpleasant and everyone seems to low-key be at war, but on the other hand, I'm a sucker for criminal underworld settings. Maybe I'd visit for a little bit and then hightail it outta there, haha.

Coraline
What is the fictional place? The alternate universe on the other side of the doorway.
Would you like to visit it? No sounds a bit creepy there!

A Storm of Swords (Steel and Snow) George R. R. Martin
- What is the fictional place?
Westeros (and that Universe)
- Would you like to visit it?
Not in the slightest, but it makes for a good story.

A Darkness Absolute by Kelley Armstrong
What is the fictional place
Rockton, somewhere in the Yukon Territory of NW Canada.
Would you like to visit it?
Absolutely not. It's up probably near the Arctic Circle. Cold, horrible weather, no internet, no cell phones, nearly everyone who lives there are criminals, and there are no pets allowed, and wild animals (and wild humans) in the forest surrounding the town.

- What are you reading for this category?

- What is the fictional place?
Ankh-Morpork a fictional city in the Disc world... This is a gigantic series which is probably on my bucket list to finish the entire series.
- Would you like to visit it?
Well no, not really... it seems like not my type of place, I am no good at drinking, fighting, and not getting robbed blind. lol.

The Beast of Blackmoor Bog by Kate Forsyth
What is the fictional place?
Crowthorne Castle in an unnamed fantasy land.
Would you like to visit it?
No, it's really not the sort of place you would want to live.

What is the fictional place? Several young LARPers (Long Action Role Play), get transported to a magic realm, somewhat akin to the Dungeons & Dragons magical universe.
Would you like to visit it? Yes, but only if I have choice weaponry and am wearing the right clothes :)

A Court of Wings and Ruin
- What is the fictional place?
Prythian
- Would you like to visit it?
If it meant meeting Rhys? YES, WHEN DO WE LEAVE?

--What is the fictional place?-- I'm not sure of the exact location, but it all takes place in a fictional space galaxy. There's a bunch of different planets that I don't remember the names of. Key point, it's not real.
--Would you like to visit it?-- I don't know if I would or not. It might be too weird for me. Plus there's a lot of war and death, so it'd probably be a no.

Shadows of Self by Brandon Sanderson
- What is the fictional place?
Scadrial
- Would you like to visit it?
I doubt I'd live very long, unless I was given superpowers.

- What is the fictional place?
I think the Grisha but I didn't really like this book I gave it 2 stars. I just couldn't get into the world building.
- Would you like to visit it?
no it was too confusing

I'm just finishing up Red Queen
What is the fictional place?
A kingdom called Norta, which is divided into Silvers (the upper-class and nobility) and Reds (the lower-classes)
Would you like to visit it?
Not really. It sounds awful.

- What are you reading for this category?
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
- What is the fictional place?
The kingdom of Adarlan
- Would you like to visit it?
Nope. Not for a second. Mostly because it is ruled by a tyrannical despot, but also because it seems like the kind of place were most women are expected to wear corsets and look pretty.

Fool's Assassin by Robin Hobb
- What is the fictional place?
The Realm of the Elderlings
- Would you like to visit it?
It is the 4th series I read set in this world and I think I'm starting to know it quite well, so I would like to visit it ;)

Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas
What is the fictional place?
LLAREGGUB, WALES
Would you like to visit it?
Nope

- What is the fictional place? provinces of the Great Suene Empire
- Would you like to visit it? No

- What is the fictional place? Ourea
- Would you like to visit it? Not from what I've read about so far - but apparently I've only seen the horrid part of it (according to one of the characters)

I will be reading the final book of the Chaos Walking trilogy, Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness

What is the fictional place?
New Prentisstown/Haven, New World
Would you like to visit it?
I think the cons outweigh the pros, so no. I am sure I would love to hear the thoughts of my husband and son for awhile...and then it would get old and annoying. Same goes for animals/pets, that would be amusing, but after awhile I'd want it to stop, haha! And I most definitely would not want to visit at the same time that my story is taking place. A bit too much fighting going on for my liking!

The Blinds by Adam Sternbergh
What is the fictional place?
Caesura, Texas; the locals call it "The Blinds" though, hence the title.
Would you like to visit it?
Heck no. I value my life too much to risk it visiting The Blinds.

The Dry
- What is the fictional place?
A drought stricken fictitious town called Kiewarra.
- Would you like to visit it?
The author is a semi-local and Kiewarra could be any Australian farming community under pressure from drought. I feel like I've already visited it having grown up in a farming community, but I wouldn't want to visit this one.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, by CS Lewis

What is the fictional place?
Narnia
Would you like to visit it?
Depends on whether the White Witch is there or not! I'd love to meet Aslan though.

- What is the fictional place? Torfa
- Would you like to visit it? No, doesn't seem very inviting.

- What is the fictional place? An island where 9 orphans live at a time. Each year a new, young orphan arrives and the eldest orphan must then leave the island.
- Would you like to visit it? Although the island seemed perfect, I would not want to visit because to do so I would need to be an orphan.

- What is the fictional place?
It's a fantasy world, with the stories mostly happening at sea and we're visiting some islands, etc.
- Would you like to visit it?
As with most worlds, there are some quite unsafe things and places, so I'm not sure I would like to visit it. Anyway, it's colorful in my mind, so it looks pleasant.

Fool's Quest
What is the fictional place?
Six Dutchies
Would you like to visit it?
I think it would be a hard life. I like electricity, running water, etc.
I would like to be able to bond with an animal though.
