Kristunn Dornuff | 4 comments The book starts with a sixteen year old girl who is running away from home.
She has been involved in a love affair, her lover letting her down.
Her parents own a pub in a place somewhere in the north of Kent, UK, near the River Thames.
She meets several people while underway, and when she is asleep she reveals information to those people she is with.
Those people appear to be coming from some parallel shadow world and have been existing for thousands of years, changing from human body to human body in which they sort of dwell through the years.
Some of them are good, others are bad.
A war takes place between those people.
Her lost little brother is also thought to be one of them.
At the end of the book the girl has become a grandmother living in West of Ireland, having lost her daughter, but now saving her two grandchildren from the war by putting them on a boat heading for Iceland.
The book contains chapters each in which several protagonists and antagonists tell about the events from their own points of view.

A long shot - The City's Son by Tom Pollock?

Kristunn, what year did you read this book?

Is this book for young adults/teens or older adults?

Kristunn Dornuff | 4 comments I think somewhere in the last three years.

It's more like for general audience. It is not a book specifically written for youngsters.

Thanks,
