Anahita Reid (AnahitaReid) | 10 comments Hello! Hope you're all having a lovely day! :3

I'm looking for a book that I read approximately 2 years ago, although I can't for the life of me remember the name/author.

*WARNING! There may be possible spoilers about what happens in the story, unfortunately this is all of the plot I remember! Just thought I'd let ya know ^v^*

It was about a young girl (highschool age) and I don't think she had any parents, or at least they weren't around. People at school called her a freak/witch, but then she met a guy (I think his name was Conner or Cale? Something starting with C, haha. He is the intended love interest, I'm pretty sure!) and he took her home to his family, because apparently she had elemental powers of some kind and she was 'special'. His family kind of adopted her in a vague way.

She was able to create storms and other magic involving the earth, as well as take the injuries of someone (One of the family's friends, gunshot and torture wounds from some evil guy that wants the heroine 'cause she's 'special') while seeing through her eyes.

I think the whole elemental thing had different power levels, as I remember one buttface of a guy that came in and basically assaulted her at the house. He was quite strong, due to him being in touch with stone magic?

I believe she might have been kidnapped toward the end of the book.

Hope this is enough information! Sorry if I didn't make sense or I sounded like a whackadoodle, I've just been wondering what this book is!

Thanks for taking the time to have a looksie,
Toodaloo! ^v^

Tammy | 8 comments Not sure but Angelini's Starcrossed series is similar but they aren't elementals but demigods.

I read that series years ago! I had completely forgotten about the book but as far as I had remembered I had really enjoyed it. It also does fit it with the description well, I second Tammy's suggestion.

Anahita Reid (AnahitaReid) | 10 comments Thanks for the suggestions! They are quite similar but unfortunately, not the book I'm looking for sorry >.< Although, I will be having a read of Starcrossed after reading that blurb! Thanks again, I appreciate your help ^v^

I was going to suggest Storm (Elemental, #1) by Brigid Kemmerer Storm
as well. The love interest is Chris who is a water elemental and the main character, Becca, is special because she can control all the elements.

Lexi (nyxia) | 46 comments Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout or Storm by Brigid Kemmerer are the ones I thought of after reading your post.

Anahita Reid (AnahitaReid) | 10 comments Hallo guys! Thanks Megan, Wren, Adele and Lexi for your suggestions! (Sorry, I haven't figured out how to tag anyone so I thought I'd just reply to your comments all in one :3)

I have read Obsidian and Storm (loved both!) but neither of those are the book I'm looking for, sorry :(

And Carrier of the Mark isn't it either, sorry! D:

* SPOILER WARNING JUST INCASE *
The book didn't necessarily call them elementals, it was just the best way to describe their powers. I'm pretty sure it's a series because at the end of the first book, the bad guys showed up at their house in the woods and the main girl got kidnapped. In the next book, it shows her being tortured by the bad guy until she's rescued.

Not sure if this helps? But thanks again for all your input, I really do appreciate it :3

Adele | 1385 comments This isn't a criticism - just putting it down here at the bottom of the thread for the ease of new people seeing it - OP has confirmed that the book she is looking for is not Storm by Brigid Kemmerer, though the description really does sound like it! :-)

Anahita Reid (AnahitaReid) | 10 comments Hi guys! Sorry for my lack of reply, been a bit busy! Thank you for your suggestions, but none of those are the book I'm looking for, sorry :( I agree, Storm does sound a lot like it, so I can understand why you're suggesting it ^v^ I have a funny feeling that I've gotten something wrong about the book whilst remembering it, so I apologise for that >.<

I don't think they're specifically elementals, it's just the powers in the book resembled that sorry! I is very confuzzled XD But thanks again, I appreciate all your efforts to help :3
