I have a short story about a guy that's turned into a raccoon by a travelling man. It highlights empathy vs practicality, hints at a possible psychedelic experience, and reminds the reader that life is short so you should enjoy being who you are even if some people don't like you for it. If you're interested, take a read and tell me what you think. I could really use a second opinion. It's unedited, so there are a few grammatical errors. I'm more worried about things like: how does it make the reader feel? Does it make you think? Does it stand out amongst other short stories? If so, why?
