...apologies to our non-UK members. I think that BBC dramas are often picked up by PBS in the USA so if it turns out to be any good our US members may want to look out for it coming soon.
Yes, I think that it is based on the Len Deighton book. I haven't read it myself.
I haven't made up my mind about the programme yet so I'll see how I feel after episodes 2 or 3. So far, it's part murder mystery and part dystopian landscape but we don't know much about the murder or the victim and not enough is known of how a London of nazi occupation looks and how occupied Londoners behave...apart from a few resistance characters and some good old English stuff upper lips. I think it's a slow burner.

This is by the author of the Shardlake books and I think it is better than the Deighton book; although, to be fair, I read that many years ago.

It's set in 1941 and imagines a world where the Germans win the Battle of Britain and occupy London.
