Anna Adler | 38 comments I read somewhere that Reddit has subreddits for advertising discounted or free books. Has anyone here tried Reddit? Would you say it's worth the effort to get an account there and try it out?

P.D. Workman (pdworkman) Sure. I get more hits from Reddit than from Twitter.

P.D. Workman (pdworkman) Be very careful not to use affiliate links, learn how to flair your posts, and follow all of the posting instructions for each subreddit. Some subreddits only take certain kinds of postings.

Whatever you do, do not post advertising or links to your website or books on any subreddit that doesn't specifically say you can. Do not brag or self-promote in any way on any general subreddits. Go to help other people out and build your karma/reputation, not to spam.

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) I would add to the "use extreme caution" warning. Reddit is a bit more wild west than places like Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ and social media. Bookwhacking the wrong crowd could cause a lot of unintended consequences.

Anna Adler | 38 comments Pamela and Christina, thank you so much for the information. :) (awesome links Pamela, thanks!) I'll be careful when poking around on Reddit.

Good luck Alex, let me know how it goes.

L.K. Chapman | 154 comments I've posted free books on the free ebooks subreddit and had a good number of downloads from it :)

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 787 comments P.D I seriously thought you were being sarcastic with your first comment lol. I didn't know anyone used Reddit for their works.
