Sotto Voce | 5 comments Hi everyone,
Glad to be here. I am a bit out of touch with social media, forum and similar, so please bear with me.

I wrote my first book end of last year, soon after that, I joined the NaNoWriMo challenge for the first time and got a book out of it that I'm still editing.

But as I was concentrating on writing, I forgot the most important part, the reach to the reader and community. I hope to change it and allocate more time to do so. The genres that I have a lot of passion in are sci-fi, thriller, crime.

Thank you for having me.

Simona Rosa | 15 comments Hello there from Bellingen Australia. A small, quaint town at the edge of the forest.
My name is Simona and I have started my own indie publishing house, and am delving into the world of kindle.
I love to read self-help, references and anything I can learn from others. I have a great thirst for knowledge. I do love a good auto-biography, biography. And narrate short stories, letters and poems on the local radio here.

Hoping to learn from you all. And share some of the books our house is publishing.

Pierre Dalcourt | 10 comments HI Simona! If you're interested in doing a review swap (or review trio swap), I spent five years researching and writing the (free) book The Sudist Way: Why We Must Balance Healthy Joy With Meaningful Suffering and How to Solve Chronic Depression, Anxiety, and Pain. It's a philosophical self-help book that takes a deep, evidence-based dive into the origin of both healthy and unhealthy suffering, and why our "happily ever after" seems to be always just out of reach.

It can downloaded or read at (free) or from Google Play (free), Apple Books (free), Amazon (for a small fee), etc.

Cheers,
Pierre
(Ottawa, Canada)

I just posted a review on Amazon as "A.P I" which should show up within 2-3 days. I also posted a review on ŷ as Pierre Dalcourt. Michael J.P. J.P. | 1 comments Guild of the Beach Rats

Hello,

New to group and ŷ but not the writing/author circuit. I'm an award-winning speculative horror writer, father and husband living in Florida.

Looking to swap reviews for my debut novella "Guild of the Beach Rats" /book/show/6...

Logline: Morgan Roth, a defamed NYC journalist, returns to her ocean-side hometown and finds it’s been overrun by a snake-eyed cult called the Fellowship of Her Lady by the Sea.

The ideal swap would be books with a similar price and length.

M.J. Apple (mjapple) | 1 comments Happy Holidays!

After nearly 30 years of writing in private, I finally took the plunge and published “The Real Me Because of You (a steamy closed door rom-com with a Filipina-American lead).

As a teacher, my promo game was nonexistent since I couldn’t afford ARC’s & paid promotions/advertising. But I made a deal with both my daughter and another student that if they don’t stress about college acceptance, I’ll make a real effort in promoting my book. So here we are.

I am hoping to swap a review or two. I enjoy reading and have midterms coming up so I need a distraction and I’ll do everything to get the reviews done in a timely manner

Here is my “official bio:

MJ Apple is a pen name. The writer and her husband have two teenage children and two puppies and raised them in various part of the US, most recently in the South. She currently teaches high school math and officiates swim meets. She advocates her children and students to embrace their talented passions of performing and visual arts and continuing to grow in their faith.

James Krieger (jamesskriegerauthorgmailcom) | 2 comments I'm Jim Krieger, a retired Captain from the FDNY.
I've met a thousand people on that job. I love telling stories. My stories, and my characters, are built on the interesting people I've met on the job. I've written four complete novels in three genres. What I like is humor. With my fourth book, Not My Best Idea, I went with where I liked to be, absurd, funny fiction with strong female characters. This is the book I'm releasing. The first three were practice.
I love to read other people's work and share criticisms. You cannot improve unless you can stand to hear what you're not getting right.

Lori-Ann Drecketts | 2 comments Hello fellow book lovers!

I'm excited to join this wonderful community of authors and reviewers. My name is Lori-Ann, and I'm a Jamaican author of fantasy & science fiction and self-help nonfiction books. I also like to always include a Jamaican perspective in my Fiction books. The book that I would really like to exchange for reviews is my Jamaican Peter Pan book. Writing has always been my passion, and I'm thrilled to connect with fellow readers and writers here.

I believe in the power of supporting each other's work, and I'm actively seeking review exchanges to help fellow authors in their journey. If you're looking for an honest and constructive review for your book, I'd be delighted to read and provide feedback on your work. In return, I'm eager to receive feedback on my own book and engage in meaningful discussions about our shared love for literature.

I enjoy Fantasy, Action/Adventure, and I'm open to exploring new genres as well. Whether your book is a thrilling mystery, a heartwarming romance, or a thought-provoking sci-fi adventure, I'm eager to dive into your world and offer my genuine thoughts.

Let's support each other's writing endeavors and create a vibrant community of passionate readers and authors. Please feel free to reach out to me if you're interested in a review exchange or if you have any questions. I'm looking forward to connecting with you all!

Happy reading and writing!

Karlyle Tomms (karlyletomms) | 3 comments I have been hesitant to offer my book for review exchange. My book, The Calling Dream, is not just about Christianity and it is not a traditional Christian novel. Instead, it tackles some difficult content. The book contains profanity as well as some graphic descriptions of sex and violence. I've seen children's authors on here and I definitely do not want to exchange with a children's author as the book is not appropriate for children and I wouldn't want children stumbling onto it. The book has light-hearted moments, but it is not for the faint of heart. If anyone is up for an exchange of my book for reviews, please let me know, and I certainly understand if you would choose not to review it. I am happy to receive honest critiques.

Charlotte Glass | 16 comments Hello,
Just joined the group and trying to get the full picture. My pen name is Charlotte Glass, and it's under that name that I've written two Romance novels, The Dream Room and Glorious (a sequel which features the same characters.) The Dream Room takes place in NYC, Glorious takes place in Wellfleet, Mass.
I'm also a playwright under my real name, Joanne Hoersch. I am the resident playwright at Hudson Theatre Works where my most recent play, Shelley, about the life of Mary Shelley, was produced in May.
I am more than happy to exchange books and reviews. I'm a careful, medium-paced reader but I promise I will read your book and review it; that is, if you'll do the same for me. Amazon doesn't even allow your book to come up in a search if you have fewer than 25 reviews. Please email me at [email protected] if you're interested in a book/review exchange. Thanks.

Kayla Cunningham | 8 comments Hi everyone! My name is Kayla Cunningham and I'm a teacher of history at the high school level and adult ESL. In addition to that, I volunteer as a Hostage Crisis Negotiator. I just published my first Contemporary Romance novel, FATED TO LOVE YOU.

Born in San Luis Obispo and raised just outside the vibrant city of Santa Cruz, California, which is the setting of the novel.

I have recently completed the second installment of the thrilling "CHASING THE COMET" series, and I am working on the first round of edits. On my spare time, I'm also working on writing a YA fantasy trilogy titled "STORM BREAKER."

One thing that's kind of cool, with each sale of my book, "FATED TO LOVE YOU," I am proud to contribute a portion of the proceeds to two meaningful charities. The story begins in Colombia, where the protagonist, Cassandra Steel, goes on a science study abroad. She visits the rainforest and raises school supply donations to take to kids.

With every copy sold of this first novel, a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to two organizations that are close to the story and the protagonist’s heart: the Amazon Conservation and Save the Children. These charities are tirelessly work- ing towards conserving the Amazon rainforest and improv- ing the lives of underprivileged children in Latin America.

Check out my novel at: /book/show/1...

Hey Heather! I'd be interested in providing an honest review of your book in exchange for an honest review of mine (The Sudist Way). It's a book that explores the hidden relationship between pleasure and pain, and how to leverage it to help overcome clinical depression, anxiety, and chronic pain syndromes.

P.S. There is another way to avoid author swapping: use a second account (not your main amazon account) to review other people's books. This way you don't need a trio. Let me know if you are interested. Cheers...
