Rebecca (bekblayton) | 6 comments Just wondering if anyone can recommend and great (new ish) non-fiction? I'm a fan of history and science, but also biography....

Emma Radford | 3 comments Quite enjoyed The Penguin Lessons - light, easy but uplifting read.

Claire | 1 comments Haven't read it recently and don't read a lot of non-fiction, but Stuart is amazing. Very hard-hitting but fascinating story of a homeless man.

Rebecca (bekblayton) | 6 comments Thanks both. Not heard of either of those!

MikeM | 3 comments I'm reading 'Sapiens' at the moment. It's great, but I'm really looking forward to 'Homo Deus'.

I also loved:
The Age of Wonder by Richard Holmes
A Man on the Moon by Andrew Chaikin
The Time Traveller's Guide to Medieval England by Ian Mortimer

If you like Shakespeare or Marlowe, Charles Nicholl's historical detective work is fantastic: The Lodger (Shakespeare) and The Reckoning (Marlowe). In fact, I want to read them again now!

Marilyn (bookandbeergeek) | 8 comments Inferior - Angela Saini is magnificent. It's about science and women.
The Good Immigrant, edited by Nikesh Shukla is an amazing collection of essays by BAME people living in Britain today.

I'm very much enjoying John Lydon's Anger Is An Energy, but might not be everyone's cup of tea.

More science ones I haven't finished yet, but have heard great things about: A Brief History of Everyone Who Ever Lived - Adam Rutherford, and The Particle Zoo - Gavin Hesketh.
