I write under the name, R. Leib. I worked for thirty years in the computer industry. (Mostly before the advent of personal computers. Your laptop probably has more storage and processing capacity than an entire building of computer equipment did, when I started out. I've worked with punch cards, paper tape, reel-to-reel tape, and teletype interfaces. I saw the advent of most of the technology that most people take for granted today.)
When I retired, I went back to writing. It's been hard, but I'm not the sort to give up. Ask anyone whose work I've reviewed, and they'll tell you that I give good comment. I'm willing to review just about any genre, but I'd appreciate some reciprocity. (I reviewed a bunch of works for members of another Goodread group, and was disappointed that, when it was my turn, only one reciprocated. I'm not doing that again.)
I self-published a Science Fiction novel, The Negative's Tale, and I'm currently writing a sequel.
