Regards,
--Parikshit N. Samant.

This is my fourth round review, but it's okay to review your books out of order, so long as you get them done in time.
These are my reviews for Bards of Fantasia.

Thanks for your review, S.W.!
Even though it's not strictly required, it would be appreciated if you would post a review on Amazon and Amazon UK as well.

Just as a note to everyone I've reviewed, I do hope the lower scoring reviews aren't disheartening. The reason I am demanding is because I would rather take people's work seriously than not, and treat each book with the respect it deserves. I wouldn't bother if I didn't think they were worth discussing.
I hope the critiques have some value in pointing out the virtues of the books.
(I haven't had any complaints yet by the way. This wasn't prompted by the behaviour of anyone in the group).

Rhian, you give thoughtful and clearly expressed opinions; can't ask for more than that.
Thank you, Rhian and Margaret!
That's your fourth Rhian, and you're all done. Thanks for your participation!
You're halfway done, Margaret!

Rule four in the sign up message states that all members must be able to post on amazon. We all want amazon reviews, that is the largest market, and that is where we all want our books to be seen.
This is essentially a co-operative, it isn't fair if some people don't play by the rules or take advantage of other members by not posting to amazon. Everyone else had paid their $50 to post on amazon.
As per amazon rules, asauthors we are not allowed to give books in EXCHANGE for amazon reviews. The choice to review on amazon has to be voluntary.
However, who is allowed into future groups is also a choice, my choice.
I don't want to have to add yet another rule to the sign up message, such as one to prove you can post to amazon, as this will just increase my workload, so please play the game folks!

I understand your clarification above, Emma, but the thread's opening pgh states "we no longer insist members review on amazon" which, as written, appears to supersede the rules below, as they are below and thus subordinated. Some may volunteer here to get final-polish critiques on their book before ordering promo copies from Amazon, while others may be further along. Just sayin' that might indeed affect your future decisions, but it sounds like a shaming statement. I for one understood one might ask that some reviews NOT be posted to Amazon, as long as the request was polite and not "pressuring" etc. and that's been ignored twice here....
I personally plan to buy an Amazon card by the end period of this thread, 12 weeks from now, and post my reviews toAmazon then, unless asked not to.

There are other groups which only allow positive reviews, which is where the confusion might have come form, but this is not one of them.
Contacting your reviewer to ask them to alter or remove a review is strictly against group rules, and will result in being banned. if you have a problem with a review, i.e. if it is a personal attack, contact the round mod or myself.
People need to feel comfortable posting their real opinion, and the group will back a reviewer to the hilt.
N.B. All books included in the rounds must be published on amazon, i.e. be a final finished product ready for sale. This is not an ARC situation.
I hope that helps.
