Translation into Spanish, why not?

Hello, everyone. My name is Cintia and I am from Argentina. I want to discuss a question that got me thinking for a while.

I put this under "Somewhere In France" because it is related to the topic I want to discuss.

Since I'm in GoodReads, I've found lots of books I'd love to read, that promise excellent stories. But there's a problem. They are not available in Spanish. The authors are virtually unknown here, and their work, therefore, impossible to find anywhere. There are no translations in Spanish, and the few existent are not possible to find in my country. The original versions are not available either, y you can read just a few preview pages, having to pay for the rest (with prices not always accessible).

The idea of this discussion is that, if you think like me, see if we can get somewhere, if there's someone with the same ideas, perhaps we are enough people and achieve some of this ideas. As you can see, I've been thinking about this, and this are the three lists I've made with the books I want to read: http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/75... here http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/75..., and here: /list/show/7...

I know some books actually get translated. Between the books on the lists, at least 4 are in Spanish. But they don't bring them to my country. They can only be found in Spain. There's literally an ocean between us and the books. And that only makes things worse. What about us? Don't we exist too?

I don't think it is fair, because, for a matter of translation, we are missing books that seem to be excellent. There's authors and stories that really are worth it, and, as I can't get them in their original versions (for more than one reason), I'd want to have an available translation. If, as I checked in hundreds of titles, they can be found in German, Croatian, Danish and Slovenian, why not in Spanish?

I wait for your opinions!
