This month, we are reading a memoir! After discussion among members and the moderators, we have chosen I Am Malala as this month's book. As always, feel free to take your time finishing the previous month's book, and begin this one whenever you feel ready!

Has everyone been able to find the book so far? I just bought it for Kindle!

Brittie (brittiereads) | 127 comments I want to read it but I'm in a rut and don't think this book deserves it.

Wilderness (wdoregon) I have it on hold at my library. 2 of 5 on waiting list- so hoping to get it soon!

Brittle, definitely don't ruin a book you want to read by trying to read it while in a rut! I've done that to too many books I think I would have really loved otherwise.

Aven (alwhitehorne) | 15 comments Hey Spoonies! For those of you who haven't gotten I Am Malala yet, but want to buy it, I Am Malala was published by Little Brown, which is part of the Hachette book group. If Hachette sounds familiar, it's because of the huge dispute between Amazon and Hachette, whereby Amazon is apparently not selling Hatchette books, trapping authors in the middle of an ugly dispute. Anyway, I initially thought I'd purchase I Am Malala on Kindle, but then saw that it was a Hachette book, and decided to look for it on the iBook store. It was $12.99 on Kindle, but when I bought it on iBooks, it was $6.99. So, a heads up for a cheaper price, and a chance to vote with your dollars.

I started it already, but my headaches are making me hate reading. :/ I've enjoyed it so far but not wanting to push myself so I don't wind up hating a very lovely book!

I haven't read in a few days, but the beginning is lovely, though a bit slow-moving for my taste. I love the way she describes her country and her family!
