Josue Nava In my fourth book review I choose the third book in the Divergent series titled Allegiant. I was really excited about reading the final installment. Boy I gotta say I was so disappointed with the ending and just in general this book was generic. I feel that the story lost meaning, I managed to finished the book but felt so unsatisfied. I personally don't have to have a happy ending, but did feel disconnected from the first two books. This book also continues from where the last ended, in a wake of the freshly overthrown Erudite leader Jeanine and her loyal followers from other factions.
The people know they are a genetic engineering experiment now and the factions have fallen and the factionless have risen up and have taken control of the city lead by Four’s mother Evelyn. Those who use to belong to a faction have begun to start a rebellion against the new government to take control in this faction war. While this is happening Tris is taken by a rebel group called Allegiant who want to leave the city hoping to find a way to get their old lives back. They are greeted once outside the city by former faction members thought to have been killed for being divergent. They meet a man named David who is the head of the genetic bureau who explains the meaning of their existence. To correct the government mistakes after trying to genetically make perfect humans. Eventually they find out he's lying so they make a plan to save their city. I thinks that's enough spoilers. I would honestly just recommend to read the first two books because the third installment wasn't for me. I wanted it to go in a different direction instead of a repetitive story.
