Justbefree | 9 comments I was recently confused with author names in other languages and pseudonyms and all that. I understand that if an author published a book under a pseudonym, then that needs to be first, but if in another country that is not the case and that pseudonym wasn't associated with that book, it still needs to come first for consistency. As I predominately try to help with translated books, it might be useful to add next to ''all editions'' in the manual, to ''all editions in any language''.

/help/show/4...

Also, a quick thank you to everyone who has helped me so far, this group is great.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments The name as first published must be first on ALL editions in ALL languages. In part because to do otherwise can cause problems with the combinings.

Justbefree | 9 comments Agreed, that's why I thought it would be helpful to add that specifically, to make it very clear.

lethe | 16355 comments Hi Justbefree, we recently had a discussion/request to make those paragraphs in the manual more clear because they are rather confusingly phrased: /topic/show/...

Unfortunately, staff has not looked into it yet :(
