Thanks Viv! This will be my first book set in Croatia so I'm looking forward to it. I'm really interested in the Mosquito Coast! I saw the 1986 movie with River Phoenix back when it came out. I didn't realize it was based on a book. It's been long enough so that I have forgotten the plot!

For Croatia, I’m thinking about a non-fiction left wing philosophy book What Does Europe Want?: The Union and Its Discontents by Zizek and Horvat. Horvat is Croatian. I don’t know if it will hold my interest but I’ll give it a try.
