You have to read the whole series (5 books) as one very long book. I really liked them. Of course there were times I was frustrated with the slow pace of the story.

Oh thanks for that, I was trying to figure out how it was all going to be resolved in under half the book. That makes so much more sense now.

What did you think? I have been looking forward to this one. On my list :) But then I decided to reread the Alpha and Omega series before the release of Burn Bright (Alpha & Omega, #5; Mercy Thompson World - Complete, #15) by Patricia Briggs on March 6

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 361 comments I rather liked it though I've not read any other MC books. It's pretty violent. And Reaper is one of Feehen's tormented alphole "heroes" (though with reason-and he does improve some). I probably will read the next one in the series. I like the Sisters of the Heart series a lot better.

Since I rarely DNF a book, I strongly suspect that the real reason I couldn't get into it is because I had Edge of Darkness waiting for me.

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments I started Before the Fall by Noah Hawley very intense. I only bought it because of the narrator (Robert Petkoff) but the plot is very intriguing.

I also started Still Me (Me Before You, #3) by Jojo Moyes on page 95 I think. It hasn't sucked me in. At this point I can put it aside and never go back to it and don't feel bad about it. I'll give another try tonight.

message 44: by lorii (Loriidae) (new)

lorii (Loriidae) I have an historical buddy read that is really dragging but I feel a bit obligated to make the push to finish. Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord (Love By Numbers, #2) by Sarah MacLean

Urban Fantasy - Devil May Care (The Veil, #2) by Pippa DaCosta detailed gore. I am not flying through as I did the first.

Paranormal - Judgment Road (Torpedo Ink #1) by Christine Feehan pretty standard Christine Feehan but the hero for me has committed the ultimate sin and I am hoping that the heroine makes him crawl for a long time.
