Eragon's Dragon Rider's sword, it was crafted specifically for him by the elf Rhunon. A sapphire rests in the pommel surrounded by four ribs which give the impression of the claws of a dragon clutching it. Whenever Eragon uttered its name the blade would become engulfed in blue flames. It is capable of cutting through magical wards

Megan (meganraex) | 1031 comments Hello lovelies and welcome to the challenge!

I'm Meg, one of your co-captains, and I live in the UK. :)
I read mostly fantasy, horror and sci-fi but I'm happy reading other genres too (apart from romance, yuck!).

We have set up a private group so we can talk openly without being spied on, once the captains are all in the group we will send out invites as you check in. :D

I can't wait to get going and start playing with you all!

message 7: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) I'm Ora. I love in North Carolina. I am a mood reader. I will read just about anything, even though romance it my favorite genre. Right now I have been reading a lot of historicals and UF/PNR.

message 8: by Fajriy (new)

Fajriy Hello, all!

I'm Fajriy. I live in Indonesia. I read any genre (except erotica).
Can't wait to play with you all :)

message 9: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments Hey all!

I'm Ashley and I live in Australia.

I'm like you Megan...I read pretty much anything that's not romance

message 10: by Abby (new)

Abby Hi! I'm Abby and I'm in Tennessee. Also a co-captain. I will literally read anything, though YA is my favorite genre. And Cutthroat Kitchen is one of my favorite shows, so I'm excited! Just a head's up, I will have questionable Internet access until the 2nd so sorry if I end up MIA until then.

message 11: by Preena (new)

Preena ⭐ | 53 comments Hey everyone!
I'm Preena. I live in India. I'm the captain for this team. I read anything based on the synopsis. If the synopsis is intriguing, i'll read the book regardless of the genre.
Hopefully we'll have a lot of fun as a team. Join the private thread for our group so that it's harder for other teams to spy on us.

message 12: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments What’s the link for the thread?

message 13: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Will invites be sent out?

message 14: by Chava (new)

Chava | 1511 comments Hi all,
I am Chava and I live in Melbourne, Australia (special shout out to my fellow Aussie Ashley :) ). My favourite genres are mystery, crime, gruesome thrillers. For a challenge, I'll read whatever needs to be read. However, like Fajriy, I won't read erotica.
I'll be on holidays from the 15th until the 25th of January with intermittent Internet (basically only on my phone). In those 2 weeks I'll be slightly limited in what I can read by what I can download as an ebook or audiobook, but it shouldn't be too hard, I have about 1500 ebooks on my Kindle already :)

I am super looking forward to this challenge and have heard so much about cutthroat kitchen that I'm trying to find an episode to know what I'm really getting myself into during this challenge

My favorite genres are mystery and thriller. I read almost anything, but I prefer fiction. Not a big fan of non-fiction.

message 20: by Rose (new)

Rose | 633 comments Hi all,

I’m Rose from Nashville, TN. Currently I’m freezing in my home state of Minnesota, so I might be less active until the second. I read most genres, but my favorites are SFF

Team Brisinger

You have been fined $300

The discussion in the captains group was that "black and white " covers need to be black and white and not grey.
Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick is not a black and white cover

Love in the Afternoon has been used for pet rabbit, however the only reference to a rabbit is "The servants were still accustoming themselves to the new residents of the stables and the house, including the cat, hedgehog, goat, bird and rabbits, the mule and so forth"

Preena ⭐ | 53 comments Hey Mods,

Our team member Chava read an edition that was 176 pages. The wrong edition must have been submitted by mistake. She read this one. A Rare Benedictine (Chronicles of Brother Cadfael, #0.1-0.3) by Ellis Peters

We have received a challenge and you have been fined $300 for using Sleep State Interrupt for the task "Read a book where characters exchange letters/emails/sms".

We found no exchange between characters of letters/emails/sms in the evidence presented, as per the task requirements as well as requirements set forth in the Captains Group.
