ReadingByTheSea | 20 comments We are saving for baby number 2, so this year is all about reading free and already owned books. I will reward myself particularly for going a whole month without spending money on books (HARD when you visit Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ with any regularity) and for knocking over books that have been waiting on the shelves for more than 5 years.

ReadingByTheSea | 20 comments I traded in a bunch of books this morning for bookshop credit, and was soooo tempted to pick up more books straight away. But I stayed strong, and (with the exception of picking up a couple of toddler board books, which don't count, right?) left empty-handed!

I'm counting this as a win for the first week of January! Now, to make it through another 51 weeks...

Rebecca Brown | 38 comments Ooooh great goal- not spending $ and reading what you have. I definitely need to read what I have instead of buying more constantly! I wonder what I spend on books yearly... Best of luck!

ReadingByTheSea | 20 comments Oops... bought two books yesterday. BUT in my defense, I was killing time in a new town thanks to a no-show client and I stumbled across a cheap second-hand book shop that I've never been into and was unlikely to go to again. So, I didn't really have a choice in the matter, did I?

An additional challenge to myself - read these two new acquisitions within 2 years! Then I won't feel so naughty...

1. The Service of Clouds, Delia Falconer
2. Man Gone Down, Michael Thomas

I bought 15 books two weeks ago, so I think you did really well. You had no choice indeed and managed to buy only two. Well done! :)

Blagica | 12855 comments A book is a dream that you hold in your hand. I hope that April brings you many more five star reads. Do you have a stand out book so far this year?

ReadingByTheSea | 20 comments I'm back!! Recently bought, moved into and unpacked a new house, all while working full time with a toddler, so I'm not too bothered by the fact I have read next to nothing this last... 2 and a half months! Wow!

The good news - I haven't had time to buy any new books either, so still on track! And the good, good news - my new house as more awesome reading spots than I can count :)
