Welcome to the group Diane. Agatha Christie mysteries are how many of us got hooked on cozy mysteries.

Hi Jaxnsmom, I grew up in Fairfax but live now outside of Timberville, a tiny town about 20 miles north of Harrisonburg in the Shenandoah Valley. Where did you live in Virginia?

Welcome back Tracye. Looking forward to your comments in the coming year.

I've heard of Timberville. I grew up in Lynchburg, went to college in Danville, and lived in Falls Church and Fairfax County for over 15 years, and then in Winchester before moving to Charleston.

Hi Tracye. Thanks for poking your head out!
Hi Tracye. Thanks for poking your head out!

I read mostly cozies now but I may deviate to mainstream mysteries.
My last book that I finished last night was Miss Julia Inherits a Mess.
Welcome to the group Diane. There's a snow hurricane burying New England today. Great day for reading a cozy with a cup of tea.
Glad you're back Ashley. I'm watching the snow fall now :)
Welcome Diane! I have a hound/husky mix that drives me crazy most of the time. Do you currently have any poodles?

Toy Poodle named Carriefisher. she is 11 months old and sometimes "naughty" with her potty training.
Thank you for welcoming me to the group and hope that I can participate often.

I especially love any that feature cats. I have two cats of my own....Jillybean my senior black cat and Astaire my tuxedo cat who is almost a year old.
Both my daughters, who are grown now, have also always loved to read.
I live in sunny Florida but am originally from Cincinnati.

Welcome to the group Sabetha. There's a folder on the group page for Authors and Bloggers. Feel free to tell us about your blog there. Coffee, tea and cozies - I can relate to that. And there are coffee and tea-themed cozies. Cleo Coyle's Coffeehouse mystery series and Laura Child's tea shop mysteries are two series that come to mind.

I'm here in CA, and I look forward to finding new cozies. =) I like to read about new places and experiences. It get rough finding books that are well-written enough to justify the purchase, so I like to read reviews and have helpful suggestions.
Welcome Margaret. Members of this group are very good at helping you increase your TBR list. One place to find good reads is the favorite cozy discussion thread.

I'm looking forward to finding new ones!
Welcome Vicki, Sabetha, Margaret, Ashley, and Brandi! Sorry for the late greetings, for some reason I haven't been getting notifications for this thread. I hope you'll all find some new favorites here, and will share some of your favorites with us.

HI, Ashley. Welcome. I, too, live outside Chicago. In my case I'm half-way across the state just south of the stateline with Wisconsin. Are you still in the burbs or beyond?
Welcome Ashley and Brandi.
Ashley- Have you discovered Krista Davis' cozy mysteries. She has two series - Domestic Diva is set in DC and Paw and Claws set in the Virginia mountains. There are pets in both but (as the series title suggests) Paws and Claws is animal-themed.
Brandi - We have two "What are you reading" discussions - one for cozies, the other for everything else. You can share what you've read and find new-to-you books to read.

Welcome to the group Rynnie. You might like the Paw and Claws series by Krista Davis. It's set in a tourist town in the Virginia mountains. She also has a series set in DC - Domestic Diva. First in the Paws and Claws series is Murder, She Barked.

Welcome to the group G.G. Does your blog talk about mysteries? There's a folder on the group page for cozy authors and bloggers. You can tell us about your book and announce a new release or giveaway.
Welcome G.G.! It sounds like you've been pretty busy. Your books are a wonderful way to keep your animals living on.

Welcome L J! It sounds like you enjoy a good variety of books. We're so lucky to have so many genres and formats available.

Welcome to the group L J. I enjoy the Magical Bakery mysteries by Bailey Cates. It's a mix of paranormal and mystery. The group's bookshelf has a category for paranormal cozies. There are quite a few of them.
fyi - There's a link to the bookshelf at the top right of the page.

Welcome to the group Beth! I love Flavia. Have you listened to any of the series? I thought the narrator really brought Flavia to life.

Hi Melanie. Welcome to the group! I hope you'll find some new favorite cozies here and share some of your favorites. I see you're currently reading several cozies, as well as a Sharyn McCrumb book I missed. I'll have to check that out - she's one of my favorite authors.
