Eric Mesa (djotaku) | 672 comments Summary: Frankenstein changes his mind and destroys the bride. The monster sees and vows to kill or torment him on his wedding night. He sails and ends up at a port where he is accused of murder!

Commentary: Frankenstein does make some good points about the sentience of the Bride. She might not want to be with the monster. He might find her repugnant. For the first time I'm somewhat sympathetic to his decision.

This quote was pretty powerful: "You are my creator, but I am your master;—obey!

Also:

"I was ready to sink from fatigue and hunger; but, being surrounded by a crowd, I thought it politic to rouse all my
strength, that no physical debility might be construed into apprehension or conscious guilt."

While there's still a lot of faulty beliefs that govern our determination of someone's guilt - these types of things were even more pronounced in victorian times.
