The next book in this series is my favorite book in that entire series. It is very character driven and you get to meet lots of fun new characters. And kindred.

Review: My number one favorite book in the psy-changeling series by Nalini Singh. In this one, we meet Sascha, a cardinal Psy whose powers have seemingly failed to manifest, and Lucas, the alpha of the DarkRiver changeling pack. The story of how they meet and fall in love is truly one of the most romantic I've ever read. I also love the intro to this amazing world that Nalini created. It seems to be set in the near future, with Psy, Changeling, and Humans all sharing the planet, but not necessarily in harmony. There are so many various elements and characters that inhabit this world, each time I reread the series I seem to catch something new that I didn't see before. It makes every reread a new adventure.

I liked it. Sean Crisden did an excellent job narrating the audiobook. The story itself was good but not great. Mary Calmes is usually like that for me.

I didn’t realize this book was about Drago and Pia. I would have read it earlier since I loved Dragonbound if I realized it. Even with Drago set in his ways, I love that he is putting in effort to not being so autocratic with her, sometimes not too successfully. I guess it shouldn’t have been too surprising that there was trouble soon after Pia met with the Elves. I am curious what are all her powers are with being able to sense things that other wyrs cannot and healing. Especially when she mentioned her mother didn’t really say too much about it since she died before Pia came into her powers. At least in the end relations are better especially since Drago did fight along side the Elves. Finally, I am so happy Drago and Pia finally got married!! I was a little surprised that Pia gave birth when it was mentioned earlier in the book that she was expecting to be pregnant for ~2 years. Liam being born was a nice way for the book to end.

Review: The first third of this book was so dense that I almost gave up - way too much info to process when you have no idea how it fits. But boy am I glad that I stuck with it! The action was super intense and there's still so much mystery to be unraveled. I am definitely looking forward to the next book!

Ilona Andrews always does a wonderful job with the worlds she creates. I was hooked from the beginning. I love Declan. He let Rose make assumptions as to the reasons why he was at her house and used it to his advantage. I think Rose realized how dangerous he was to her before she wanted to admit it. I did love the challenges that Rose did for Declan. Once they both let their guard down and started to get to know one another were they really able to start to work together and stop the threat to the Edge. This is the first series I have read by Ilona Andrews that has a completion of the story for the couple. It did surprise me because I didn’t expect it.

Review: This was a lot of fun. A bit scary in parts, but that just made it all the more exciting. I loved Alex, but it was Death who really stole the show for me. When he says he loves her, it just about melted my heart. I really hope he shows up more in the next books. Because of course, I've now got a whole nother series to add to my ever growing list! LOL

Meh. This was okay. I just couldn't get into it. Which is why it took so long to read it. The narrator did a decent job. And I liked that both MCs had physical flaws and weren't perfect. The big baddie reveal was anticlimactic since it took me a second to even remember who that person was in the story. I'm not sure if I will continue this series or not

I'm really looking forward to starting this one. I've heard amazing things about this series.

It was pretty good! I hope you like it :)

I can’t believe I waited so long to start this series. I love how the author explains how Jane can transform an animal regardless of size and the world she created. I really want Jane to find out more of her past and why she appeared as a twelve-year child out of the forest. I have a feeling the author will piece meal the information out. I’m addicted to Jane and can’t wait to read the next book.

Enjoyable. I got a little frustrated with Eva. I wanted her to come clean about the paintings from the jump! But I guess if she did then there wouldn't have been much book left.

Review: Oh My Freaking God!! How could I have not known about this series before?! Jane is my new hero, I adore her. Kick-ass doesn't even begin to describe how freaking awesome she is. And when she shifts into Beast, I love her even more. The way the author describes their thoughts and actions, the different ways they each hunt, it just really made the story come alive for me. And when I found out how they came to be, man I think my heart just about broke. I'm dying to find out more about Jane's past, it's going to knock my socks off I'm sure. I've already started book 2, and it's just as amazing as the first. WooHoo!! A new awesome series for me! :)

oh man! I am soooo glad that you both loved Jane! I was a little nervous because I know I totally hyped up this series and I was afraid that you would be disappointed with all the build-up! BUT, I swear, every book is better than the last! We learn more about Jane's past as she uncovers it. We get more 👿 Beast 👿! We get more and more side characters. We don't get a solid love interest until book 8 but, this is an UF, not a PNR, so that's forgiven in my book - also, she has waaaayyy too much on her plate at any given time to make it plausible that she would actually put the "life-threatening danger" on hold to cuddle with a honey-bunch. (I was not disappointed with her choice - at all.) AND we get an equally awesome spin-off series that is just as good - if not better - than the original. OH! and the twists!! I never know what to expect to happen next! I love that! Faith Hunter has definitely spoiled me! I'm counting on Kate Daniels to get me out of the reading slump that I KNOW will strike when I finish the series!

Review: Holy moly! The Witch/Vamp Accords are finally happening and not everyone is happy about it! Non-stop action - as always. The bad guys in this one are badder than bad and Jane's gonna need some help. Good thing Jane's clan is always expanding!
"The spell—or part of it—appeared to be intended for us to turn on each other. It was an amazing spell, intricate, multilayered, specific, targeted on a genetic level and then targeted on a multivictim level."

Review: Have I mentioned yet how much I love this series? More repercussions from previous books - Raven Cursed in particular - rear their head in this installment. The long-chained. Son of Darkness, child of Judas Iscariot, has been freed and is wreaking havoc in New Orleans. This book was so fast paced and there was so much happening that I couldn't put it down.
Hunting the SOD is Jane's biggest challenge to date. The story was very dire - Jane is injured and having trouble healing, the blood diamond is messing with Molly, the European vamps' negotiations have ceased and war seems imminent, humans are outraged and looking to punish the supernats, there is betrayal and deception within Leo's clan, defeating the SOD seems almost impossible.
BUT there is a lot of good, too. Bruiser is ever supportive. Reminding her that she is cherished and worthy of love. Eli gently reminds her over and over that she isn't facing these things alone. Even Leo is more forthcoming than ever before. Jane, who spent so much time alone, now has an abundance of family in Eli, Alex, Aggie One Feather and uni lisi. There are yet more effects of Beast's time with the angel Hayyel that not only help Jane but others as well. New information lends hope to one of Jane's biggest fears -becoming u'tlun'ta, liver eater, spear finger, an insane, human-eating skinwalker. It's no longer a definite future.
I really can't wait to see what happens next!
A few of my favorite quotes:
“There is job-bound, there is emotion-bound, and there is blood-bound—all kinds of binding. Then there is stupid-bound. In this case, I think you’re stupid-bound. Even I can smell your blood.
Officially, the day sucked. If I kept a diary, that would have been the day’s sole entry.
“What did he ask you?
“Is she okay? Is she waiting on me?
The peppery feeling reared up in me. It was anger, not something softer and sweeter. “Hu-whaaaa-at? Am I waiting on him? Like some lovesick fifteen-year-old with too many hormones and not enough brains? Am I waiting on him? You got to be freaking kidding me!
Eli slanted a glance at me, his dark eyes catching the passing park lights. He was amused.
“Well? Am I? I asked, and I couldn’t avoid the street-snark head roll.
“No, babe. I’d say you moved on and up. Way on and way up.
“Okay, then.
