Robert Edward | 39 comments Ripley vs Arya was tough. Khan vs Yoda was a thinker as well. The books one was actually easier this time.

message 3: by Cat (new)

Cat | 344 comments Oh gosh - Death vs Bilbo and Hermoine vs Egwene.... all characters I nominated!

message 4: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 51 comments *Happy dance at Locke Lamora and Harry Dresden getting through* These are my boys, I love these boys.

NekroRider | 464 comments Voted! Some fun match ups again!

message 6: by Hillary (new)

Hillary Major | 436 comments It seemed like the media bracket had a number of oddly well-suited pairings this round, like Scotty vs. Data and Buffy vs. Katniss.

Andrea | 3461 comments I thought Spock vs Merlin was amusing

Random stats:

There are only two characters remaining in the literary bracket that have never appeared in any video adaptation.

Arya Stark & Tyrion Lanister are still alive in both the literary & TV/Movie brackets, the only such dual threat characters.

Gandalf, Aragorn, Bilbo & Harry Potter were the only matches with NO abstentions in the literary bracket. Kvothe vs Jean Tannen had the most abstentions.

Andrea | 3461 comments Poor Dresden, Raistlin, Jean and Locke (though I don't recall if I voted for Locke or Arya, hehe). Down to only two now that I'm not familiar with.

For both media and literary, even if my favorites didn't always make it through, I must admit I didn't see any that had a real chance of making it right to the end :) I'm just happy some like Jareth even made it to the second round!

Very interesting we had Darth Vader vs Robocop (cyborgs) and now we have Data vs The Terminator (android). And my mind just blows up at the thought of Tony Stark and Jack Sparrow in the same room...

I was surprised Sarah Connor, Ellen Ripley & Dr. Who lost; especially the latter, who I had picked to win the whole bracket in the office pool. :)
