Bea I started the Maze Runner ages ago but I couldn't get passed the (what I thought was) terrible writing! It's a shame because I've watched the film and loved it but I couldn't get into the book :/
Whatcha think? Should I get back into reading it?

.     ::Super_Nova::     . (nysanova) | 5 comments Well....(I haven't read it as yet...so i can't tell you much about the writing)
Okay have you changed that much since you read it last?
As in knowing me....I'm so childish I can't manage anything too harsh... (like say rape or death by cancer or some disease) I wouldn't be able to handle.
(Wow..im also very crazy because if a character died from a bomb while flying a dragon....I'd be hurt....but I'd atleast I'd be able to manage...)
(Ehmm...see why I'm a fantasy person?)
But if you think you reached the stage where you can handle it....then why not?

Hello ::Super_Nova::!
Well, the movie was a tad scary and made me jump a couple of times, and I don't think the book will be much different. But it wasn't necessarily the scariness of the writing, it was the actual writing style. I found the writing to be blunt and childish. Besides from that I'm passed the dystopia genre---(I'm more of a fantasy person too ;))

Cordelianne | 97 comments Hi :)

I did finish reading The maze runner trilogy. The first book was pretty okay, but afterwards it goes downwards. Did you see all the movies? Overall I think there are better series out there for sure! Sorry btw for grammar errors, I am dyslectic and not native English and Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ doesn't have spelling check, so therefor it is a mess :( Would you mind adding as a fandom The shatter me series? Since the new book just came out! My name is Lianne, nice to meet you. I always love talking with other people about bookssss

Bea Hello Lianne! Don't apologise!
I've watched the first Maze Runner and had spoilers revealed to me about the second, but that's all. I think I might start it again after I've read other awesome books as you've said <3 Another reason I wanted to read it was because my edition has a beautiful cover The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner <3
Of course, I'll add the Shatter Me series right away! I've been wanting to read that for a long time now actually...
Nice to meet you too!

Just read it. I haven't yet, but it looks like a quick read especially if you've watched the movie so you don't need any major info about what's happening. I haven't read it yet but my friend keeps on badgering me to do so, so I'm planing to read to soon too.

Karly (kcodr13) Yes you should definitely read it! I loved them so much, and I started reading it and didn't like it either, but after seeing the first movie and knowing then what's going on i decided to read it and it is such an awesome book. I read the first one a couple years ago, and now the series is kind of a once a year thing for me. Like on one break every year, I break out those maze runner books and just sit and read the books the entire day. Just make sure if you do read them to also read the prequels too after you're done with the 3 normal "Series books" and then The Kill Order and then The Fever Code

˙⋆✮ Anny ✮⋆˙ (annithebookprincess) I would give it another go :) I wasn't the biggest fan of the books either, but they kept me entertained and I got into the writing style. You can still discard the book a second time if you feel it's just not for you.
