Same here: very limited knowledge where mythology is concerned, but have liked what I have read so far so definitely planning on reading more!

I read The Penelopiad, and I thought it was fine. Although I love Margaret Atwood and thought the book was beautifully written, but I just couldn't get into it. Here's my full review: /review/show...

ETA: Susy, sorry to hear about your dad's health issues, I hope he will get well soon. I also hope you'll enjoy your vacation.

Whenever I think about Greek Myth, I always think about the Olympians as they are more prominent in pop-culture (at least the stuff I know) and I've actually never read a whole book about it. It was quite fun reading about Circe, who actually I've never heard of (again my Greek mythology knowledge is very limited) and same goes for her family. I've only heard about Helios.
I enjoyed everything about this retelling, it was a nice look into the origin story and Circe's journey through her eyes with respect to the other gods. There was never a dull moment.
