Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. Sorry I have been a bit absent on here the last month, have had a bit of a hectic time.

I have a few questions about future readalongs.

Would you prefer us to read 1 or 2 books a month?
Do you like that there are 2 books each month to choose from?
Are the monthly polls still a good way to choose a book each month?

And one last thing, I know that a lot of you like the reading schedules. Are you still happy for them to be for around 2 weeks? Or would you prefer a reading schedule that spans over the entire month?

I would love to know your opinion :)

Thanks
Ange xo

Theresa | 14 comments Hi Ange nice to hear from you again. I would prefer 1 book a month but if you pick 2 I will just read one of them.

This is how I look at polls: I enjoy them but if you just picked a book you want people to read with you that's okay too. As for 2 weeks verses a month, I like the month.

I am still trying to finish East of Eden. When books are longer I can not read them in 2 weeks.

Whatever you do I don't stress over it. If I get to the book great, if not oh well.

Thanks so much for your feedback Theresa :)

Mat | 1 comments Hi Ange, Great to have you back. 😀

I agree with Theresa on having 1 book a month and scheduling over a period of the month. It will help us to have time to process our thoughts and share them.

Thanks Ange on getting our feedback and hosting this Read along. This is certainly helping me in enhancing my reading and clearing my yesteryears TBR.

ªú Tovar | 20 comments Happy to hear from you again! I think a book a month would be Ok so you could choose one of those big books you mentioned in a video. In that case a schedule would be perfect to comment everyone at the same pace.

Berna | 0 comments Welcome back Ange :)

Even if there are two books to read in a month, I choose only one of them.
As for the reading schedule, spreading over a month would be better but for some shorter books it could be two weeks.
I really like monthly polls.

Mikaela | 4 comments I actually prefer two books a month and in the 2 week time frame... some months so far I have already read one of the books (in May I’d already read both) so it’s nice then to read as join in conversation...
Also like the polls - keep on choosing whatever you fancy and if we feel like joining in we will!

Mikaela | 4 comments Sorry my phone is unreliable - if we fancy joining in is what I meant to say!

Britta Böhler Hi Ange, so nice to see you're back! I'm fine with either option, with a slight preference for one book a month.

ܰé Bonjour Ange!
I tend to prefer alleviating the pressure by having more time to read a chosen book. So 1 book a month works better for me.

Marcella | 5 comments Hello ange glad to see you back! I would probably prefer one book a month, especially with the longer classics that take a bit more time to read. Maybe you can do a longer and a shorter book?

I like doing the polls, but in the end I just look at the book that is picked and decide if I want to join in with that particular book.

I do love the reading schedules aswell, I like it if everyone is on about the same pace as everyone else. But on the other hand, I also like it when things are a bit more relaxed and people can read on their own pace.

Biblio Curious (bibliocurious) | 5 comments Hi Ange, how cool that you're back!

My reading's seriously overbooked ^.^ So I'll drop in on topics if I can add some helpful tidbits.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Thanks everyone for your feedback :) This was very helpful!

message 14: by Kinga (new)

Kinga Hi Ange,

Looking realistically I'd rather have one book a month so that I'll definitely read it. I'd love to have two books and be able to read both of them, but as I'm reading other books as well it made it a bit stressfull. And yes to reading schedules as it gives guidance of what can be discussed at given point even though I might personally be a bit behind or forward.

Jill (jillglove) | 27 comments Not sure I can commit to two a month, so just one works for me taking the entire month to complete.

Anna Christine | 5 comments Hi sweet Ange ❤️ Sorry to hear things have been hectic for you. I like 1 book per month, and the poll is a good way to choose. I like your reading schedules, very doable. Thanks so much for taking the time to host these Readalongs. 😄
