Rachael (allons-y-bookworm) | 4612 comments A BIT OF LIGHT READING
Duration: 1 July - 31 July 2018

Do you fancy a break from the big books on your TBR pile? Is there a book which is taking a long time to finish? Have you got a lot of short books to read?
For this challenge, read as many books with 200 pages or less as you can.
If you're looking for inspiration, check out this Listopia. Please note that you are not limited to this list; you are free to choose any book that has a maximum of 200 pages to count towards this challenge.
Post below if you want to take part and then enjoy your light reading!

Dlyn will be leading this challenge. Thank you for volunteering, Dlyn!

Candiss (tantara) | 996 comments Novella and other short-form reads have become my favorite types of book in the past few years. I don't know if it's due to my having far less reading time than I used to, or if it's simply more difficult for me to maintain my focus than it was when I was younger - probably a bit of both. But I do love short books!

I'll aim to read 5 in July.

-------------------------------------

1. On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century - Timothy Snyder
2. One Hundred Shadows - Hwang Jungeun
3. Welcome to Your Authentic Indian Experience - Rebecca Roanhorse
4. You Were Never Really Here - Jonathan Ames
5. Saga, Vol. 7

Read: 5/5 - COMPLETED!

One of things I do is pick a few of my favorite authors. I check to see if they have any novellas or short stories or graphic novels. SK has quite a few short stories. I also check some “classic authors. Recently I read Roman Fever by Edith Wharton, and it was very good and a bit scandalous. Neil Gaiman has quite a few short stories and children’s tales and even graphic novels.
