The book involves a woman running from her family her grandmother comes with her to help raise her daughter , she is always looking over her shoulder . Works at a diner and the owner is in love with her and possibly a supernatural being . She always takes different routes going home has multiple locks on her door . Somehow she ends up running into the father of her daughter who had no idea and ends up sneaking back into her family home to confront her father . It’s been a while since I read this so I may be spoty on some details .
