Cait ♡ MintedReads (mintedreads) | 47 comments Hi, I have been in a huge reading slump due to a very bad depressive episode, it's been about a year since I tried reading last. My depression is lifting and I have been wanting to get back into reading. I just need recommendations of easy to read shorter books.

Thank you for your help.
Hope I posted in the right section.

Long Live Wonderland Try Warcross by Marie Lu. I really enjoyed it

Kikijanika | 3055 comments I don't know what type of books you like but Christmas is coming so What Light by Jay Asher is short and light reading. Also To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1) by Jenny Han is an easy-to-read book with no big drama.
Also I've heard The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas is very good and it recently hit the theaters, too. I haven't read it but I'd like to.

Maggie | 2 comments The Giver by Lois Lowry is a good short ish book, and I always recommend Divergent by Veronica Roth. It has a very engaging plot, and is one of my all time favorite books.

Melanie (melanieweiss) | 6 comments I am a Young Adult Author and recently published my new novel, Crossing Lines.

My Debut Novel,Spoken won a Readers' Favorite Award for Young Adult -- Social Issues in 2019. It is on sale in the Kindle store for 99 cents through Sunday. Would love you to check it out. Has 4.8/5 rating on Amazon. Both books are short, quick, fun reads.

Vicki-Ann Bush (vickiannbush) | 1 comments Alex McKenna & The Academy of Souls
Hi Literary Lunatics, I'm an author of YA Paranormal & Paranormal Romance. My new book in the Alex McKenna series which centers on a 17 yo transgender boy with psychic abilities, comes out on Oct. 20th. The first book, Alex McKenna & The Geranium Deaths won the Readers' Favorite Gold Medal for YA Paranormal this year. Although a series, each book is designed to be a standalone.
I'm excited to see my vision of an MC that is transgender with the focus being on the paranormal and not the fact that he's transgender. Alex will have an occasional hint or two about his journey but the fact that he comes from a lineage of Italian witchcraft will defintely be what encompasses each book.
I hope you give Alex a read and step into the world behind the veil.
