As you have speculated, the list changes, as new books are added, and therefore someone must go! This makes the 1001 Books a moving target.
I am using a March 2008 hardcover book which I own. It is organized by era rather than ranking. If any books have been added since then I won't have a clue about the more contemporary additions. I can live with that. I'll never get to them all anyway! lol!�.
Schindler's Ark is the original title for Schindler's List.
Ah, that makes sense. I do not know what year my list was published. I have a link to where I got it, but I do not know if it is still active. Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell is on it, so it is a few years old. Does your list have this book as #13? It has Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro at #1. It is not like I am ever going to read them all, but I like to look every once in a while and see the titles. I have the ones that I have read highlighted in bold. I have read 109 of them. I own about 10 more that I have not read yet.

However, since this volume is listed by era rather than ranking, being last means nothing. It just means that a 2005 publication was the last book added to the overall list.
I've read 116 of Boxall's recommendations, not all with successful outcomes. So I don't try really hard to read a bunch of them. I shoot for 5 to 10 a year.
I saw your post in the monthly challenge thread. Noted that you read and read Here, There Be Dragons. I have been following this series, when my library gets the books.
I finished the first three and am waiting on #4. I like the concept of the authors being keepers of the book, and trying to find out who they are. It is a little vague and clunky in parts, but fun.

Took me a while to catch on to the inclusion of the many well known fantasy authors and stories. It is fun when realization hits. I wondered if the series continued these "tributes".
