Heather L (wordtrix) | 780 comments Tried replying to this last week, but the site went down as I was hitting “post. For a book set in Norway, I recommend Odd and the Frost Giants by Neil Gaiman. It was a quick read, and one I enjoyed.

Jo Nesbø is from Norway, so if you like darker mysteries, you might give him a try.

If you—or anyone else—likes romance, there is no shortage of books featuring Vikings from Norway. Two favorites of mine are Fires Of Winter by Johanna Lindsey and Lord of Hawkfell Island by Catherine Coulter.

Jackie | 722 comments I could find whoever recommended 1222, but it ended up being exactly perfect for me. People trapped in a hotel during a snowstorm is a personal favorite mystery trope, and this didn't disappoint. Plus, the added flavor of Norwegian culture was very interesting to me, since I know pretty much bupkis about Norway.
