Kadijah Michelle (kadmich) | 2176 comments Blogs/Vlogs, Events and Extra Challenges!

Over the years our group has grown from a few hundred when it started in 2012 to close to 20,000 members we have now! When we started, it was easy to keep track of all the things our members had to offer in just a few threads and folders, but now because of this group’s size, we are having to add new folders to keep up with you! This folder is new for 2019 in response to all of your creativity!

So many of you have so much more to offer beyond the reading we offer. Some of you have Blogs/Vlogs you wish to share. Others of you moderate other Reading Groups or host Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ Events that look like a lot of fun, and there are always challenges that we wish we could run, but they just don’t make the cut to be an official challenge for our group. This folder is for you!

We do have a some of rules for this folder:

1. ABSOLUTELY NO BOOK PROMOTION BY AUTHORS OR PUBLISHERS. This is a permanent rule for our group that will never change. There are plenty of other groups and places for you to promote your book. If you do so, it will be deleted without warning.

2. Please remember this is an all ages/all demographics group. Also, we are a Reading Group, so when you share your Blog/Vlog, please be sure that it can be viewed by all age groups, that it is not offensive, and that it is about books and reading.

3. If you post something elsewhere on the internet, please be sure to provide a link. That includes other Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ Groups and Events. You have to let us know how to find you.

4. Before posting an "Unofficial Challenge," please check to be sure that the challenge is not going to be run as an official challenge. You can do so by checking with one of the Moderators. Most "Unofficial Challenges" will be approved, but if we love your idea, we may just turn it into an official challenge!

5. If you decide to post an “Unofficial Challenge, it will be expected that you lead that challenge. So before you do so, ask yourself if you are up to the commitment. An example of this would be the BookRiot Challenge. This is a year-long challenge, so members will want you to be there for the whole year.

6. Finally, have fun!

Please don't hesitate if you have any questions.

Thanks for your question, Sunshine! Promoting your own group counts as promotion, and we have a strict no-promotion policy.
However, if you like to lead a challenge, feel free to post it as an unofficial challenge in this folder, or suggest a challenge idea for the group. :)

±·¾±³ó²¹°ù¾±°ì²¹âœ© (doesitreallymatterpeople) | 223 comments I have an idea for a monthly challenge. But I wanted to make sure that it's not already running.

It's the chain reaction challenge which basically means that you can pick up any book and read it. Then the second book will be related to the first one. and so on.

Is it already running?

Hi Niharika, we have done this challenge before as a yearly challenge (/topic/show/...), but it is not an ongoing challenge.

If you want to suggest this as an official challenge, you can do so here: /topic/show/.... Almost all our monthly and quarterly challenges are written or inspired by ideas from members. :) You can also run it as an unofficial challenge in this folder.
