Just started this, it seems well recommended, but a lot of people seem confused by the film, so I thought I'd read the book first.

I hadn't heard of this one, but it sounds intriguing. I want to try and read more this year (2018 was the worst year yet for me...) so I might give it a go. Are you enjoying it so far?

Yes, it's quite good. 99p on Kindle 😉 i'm up to 6% so far, it's an easy read so far. Mine was the same, I only finished one book last year, so my challenge is set to 10 currently.
