What are your favorite things to get from authors? I would love some ideas!! :)

Notebooks?
Bookmarks?
Chocolate?
Coffee mugs?
Candles?

What are some creative ideas on things you can send your readers or include in giveaways? :)

Leah Reise | 372 comments I made bookmarks at Vistaprint.com. Readers loved them. 🙃

Phillip Murrell | 425 comments The coolest thing I did was get fortune cookies with custom comments about my book inside. Of course, they all included a way to FIND my book, too.

M.L. | 1129 comments Bookmarks! I didn't know you could get custom fortune cookies. That's a fun idea. A t-shirt in a bright color would be fun.

Perfect! I was wanting to make some bookmarks, so I'll check out Vistaprint. Thank you!

Umm, this is brilliant. I didn't even know you could do that!

Bright colors are part of my branding, so this is a great idea!

I don't recall ever getting anything from an author other than books. That's really all I expect.

Although, I admit, I might check out an author if I found their name in a fortune cookie.

J.M. Rankin (jmrankin) | 17 comments I did bookmarks at Vistaprint, too, which seemed to go down well. I also got stickers of the cover made up to put on posted books. So far the feedback has been postive.

B.A. A. Mealer | 975 comments Another thing you can do with bookmarks and business cards from Vista print in go to bookfunnel if you have your books there, create a print of a give-a-way of 50 to 500 and print the list on clear tabs (bookfunnel says avery) and put them on the bookmarks or business cards. It's neat because the person you hand it to can get a free book and you get free advertising. They just started this, so it is great. I'm doing it for a convention instead of carting tons of books with me, I give away a freebie on a book mark.

I'm not sure what 'posted books' means.

I meant when I post books out to readers. I sell via my own website as well as through Amazon etc.

This is so cool! I'm just now getting set up with bookfunnel, so this is good to know. I'm still trying to figure everything out. That would be perfect for in-person giveaways!

Jenna Moquin | 5 comments I had bookmarks and pens made up for a reading I did. I definitely had more pens than bookmarks left over, so I think bookmarks are a safe bet.
