MAC makeup

Lauren and Nichole had it right. It's MAC makeup. I rather liked Lisa's and LastBreath's guesses, however. I was with my daughter looking for a dress for her homecoming dance when we came across these posters at Dillards and had to ask what they were for. I was with the cologne and perfume guessing group, but deodorant would have been my next thought. Apparently we'd missed meeting the male model by just a couple of days. He was part of a promo for the makeup line and we could have posed for pictures with him if we'd come then.

I tried to see if they had a tag line or some such thing to go with the brand, but couldn't find one. So I'm unsure if the name is meant to suggest that if you use their line of cosmetics you'll end up looking like a romance cover model or why that particular name was picked. I admit to being curious, however.

Later, after we left the store, my daughter asked if I thought it was makeup for both women and men because the male cover model in the ads appeared to be wearing eyeliner. I have no idea, but these day one never can tell. :) Do they have a cosmetics line geared just toward men? I have seen guys wear eyeliner. If not, that could potentially be a new niche in the industry. My daughter may be on to something...

The Israeli site also has the same ad campaign although they seem to focus more on the actual products than the sexy models.

When I checked it out the other day, I somewhere found a link that was supposed to let you "wrote your own romance novel" through a facebook app. I'm sure somewhere in the fine print, if you used their site to write an amazing book or even idea for a book, they could claim copyrights on it completely. I don't know that for sure though, just guessing by the way a lot of big corporations operate.
