I'll nominate SEAL Team 666 by Weston Ochse. It's an author and a series I've been meaning to try for a while now.
I'll nominate Without Remorse by Tom Clancy. It's the first of the John Clark series, but stands alone well. He's the shadowy guy that appears throughout the Jack Ryan series ("Hunt for Red October", "Patriot Games", & such). This book is his biography.
