Great. Hey Dagny.
I'll definitely go through this one you mentioned.
Hi Shashank, welcome to RMFAO. Good to have you here.
As Dagny suggested you might like the Genre Challenge. We also have a buddy read coming up next month, so don't forget to check that out as well.
I'm a mystery buff too, but I also enjoy other dark fiction genres - psychological thrillers, dystopia (not the YA kind, but serious ones), apocalyptic and (post-a), high fantasy, horror, etc.
Good to know you're interested in creative writing. I'm a writer myself (I mostly write dark fiction and horror.)

Hello Shashank! I'm so glad you joined this group. Mystery seems to be a popular genre with most people here, so you'll fit right in. I'm starting to read more Fantasy myself, and will be interested in your book recommendations for this genre.

If you like psychological thrillers I'd recommend Malice and Devotion Of Suspect X, Keigo Higashino I think.
Also, I saw you'll add book links in the comments. How do I do that?
Shashank wrote: "Ohh great. Tell me more about this buddy read process."
Shashank,
If you go to the Group Home Page (found here: /group/show/...) you'll see book covers under Currently Reading. It says the date for each upcoming Buddy Read. If you scroll all the way down the page, right before it shows the pictures of the group members, it will say " More Discussions". If you click that, all of the Discussions come up, including Buddy Reads. You can also go there there directly by using this link: /topic/group...

Shashank,
To add book links in the comments, clink on the green colored "add book/author" at the top right of the box you type in when making a comment. You type in the name of the book and a list pops up. You then can select the title and press the Add button. But before you do press Add, at the very bottom of that same pop up you can select if you want to add the book link or the book cover to appear in your comment. (I think that the book link is the default selection.) It's a fun little feature for when you comment.

Thanks! That's a great idea; there are some sports-related non-fic books I've been looking to read and that challenge seems like the prime excuse :D

Like Dagny said, what an amazing life you have! I worked for years as a lab tech, so I can relate to the phlebotomy you do. It's not an easy job and takes a certain skill. Also, I think you'll find alot of animal lovers here, so you will fit right in. Enjoy the group!
