I am planning to use sponsored products ads for my nonfiction book launch 10/1/19.
I gave away 400+ advance review copies on bookfunnel, and I will ask for reviews upon publication.
I am doing a free giveaway 10/1/19 through 10/5/19 on amazon (KDP select)
Should I...
1) Start the ads before publication 2) Start the ads on 10/1/19 (may help with strong launch but risk of people downloading free copies and me paying a ton in ads but no benefit in actual paid sales) 3) Start the ads on 10/6/19 or later (no risk of paying for free downloads but may lose some momentum)
I should note that I would be okay with taking a loss just to get free downloads if it helped in the long run.
I should also note that my main objective is to get my book out there...I am not necessarily planning on making a profit or even covering my expenses. However, I would want the ads to be sustainable in the long run and not result in continuous losses.
