Yup. Practically twins. But America's older, since he- I mean, it- got independence first. Canada didn't get it's independence until abut two hundred or so years later.

...What's Bastille Day?

*le gasp* You don't know what Bastille Day is?! Why, it's only the day that the peasants of France stormed the Bastille prison in Paris, freed the prisoners {which were like, seven}, and burnt it to the ground! It's the day that started the whole French Revolution- July fourteenth seventeen eighty-nine! It's what made the French lower class believe that they could build a better France.

Since school is starting in less than a month, {so excited! I'm gonna be a sophomore!} I've started shopping for clothing. So far I've bought a couple of skirts, and I'm going to the mall and some clothing shops to buy tops and more scarves {and maybe a new pair of shoes...or two... or seven.. What can I say? I like shoes}. This year, I've decided to change my style a little. Usually, I dress comfy casual with a hint of flirty. This year, I'm thinking preppy meets boho chic with a dash-just a dash, mind you- of hipster.

I've been thinking...

In this month alone, I've found out that my two bestest friends in the world are moving to completely different states. The US is HUGE; I'll be by myself here in the South while they're up in the North.

It makes me wonder, I'll miss them; I'll miss them terribly. But will they even remember me? I mean, they're going to bigger better places with people that are way more interesting than I am. Am I a forgetful friend?

New year, new me...I hope.

School is starting on Monday! I am so excited! I don't know why, but I've always loved school. Maybe because I got to leave the house for seven hours five times a week{Jk. Sort of...}. I think it's really because I've always had a fascination with learning and gaining more knowledge. Either way, I love school and I can't wait until Monday! {Whoa, I think this is the only time that I'll actually like Mondays. ^_^}

First Day of School-Reflection
So... school started today and it was... not what I expected. I woke up around five fifteen, and got ready. I ate a bowl of oatmeal, drank a {large} cup of Earl Grey, woke my siblings, second guessed my outfit choice, decided that I didn't have time to find another one, pulled on my combat boots, grabbed my bag, and raced to the car. On my way to my school, I was hit with this strange calming sort of bubble. It was so...{freaky} surreal. But in a {freaky} good way. Everything was sort of anticlimactic this year. I found that my best friend and I only have one class together, and I don't have any classes with my other besties, so that sucks {I am a lonely friendless loser.} In the bright side, we do have lunch together, which is good. {I was seriously prepared to sit at a table by myself reading a book and feeling sorry for myself.}.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better; I have French III first period!

I love going to school and University for the same reason. We would rarely get outside if not for school :P. ALSO, if you don't have your besties at your classes, maybe try to make more friends. It's a good opportunity for you I think :D

Yeah, you're right. So far, I have someone to sort of talk to. And, since a bunch of people's schedules have been changed, I now have four classes with a friend! Yay!
