I apologize if someone already brought this up somewhere and I just missed it, but I didn't see anything and only thought of it after listening to the latest podcast.

Tom mentions that he would be uncomfortable/nervous about someone writing a sequel to DADoES. Well, someone already did it. The Edge of Human was written in 1995. I don't remember it very well, but it left a negative impression on my memory.

K.W.Jeter wrote another 2 sequels after "Edge Of Human", all with the permission of Philip K. Dick's family.

Hmmmm.... If it went that long, now I'm tempted to give it another read and see if the series as a whole leaves a positive impression.

There's an unofficial sequel called Tears in Rain by Rosa Montero.

Also the movie Soldier, written by David Webb Peoples who did the Blade Runner screenplay, is set in the same universe.
