Almost there! I also read Welcome to Lagos for that prompt. I am planning to read Maaza Mengiste's latest book The Shadow King for the Horn of Africa prompt.
I have soooo many books piled up, that I haven't gotten to yet, and can't seem to find the time currently - but it'll be winter soon, and those dark evenings in the north should make for more reading :)
I liked Mengiste's Beneath the Lion's Gaze, so that's definitely an idea, but I should probably start by checking what I have in the piles of TBRs, haha...
Terribly behind on the TBR takedown challenge as well, but there may be overlaps :)

I am curious about In the United States of Africa by Abdourahman A. Waberi which I plan to read in the last months of this year. I already tried reading The Land Without Shadows at the beginning of this year but dnfed it as there was not much plot. But the writing was good!
Ok, just two to go!
