While being respectful, what are everyone's opinions on Dex Dizznee?

I don't think Dex is quite as underrated as the fans say. Actually to be more accurate, I think he is but I don't think that it is as big of a deal as they make it. I think he was out for a book or two but that he'll come back, He was included a lot more in Legacy, if anyone noticed.

Next I think he is very much like a Keefe who doesn't get the credit. His parents are a bad match, which give him parental problems, and he also has a big sense of humor which I actually forgot about until this last book when he was making jokes about Team Valient.

I agree, I feel like Shannon has made Dex from Sophie's best friend, to awkward person who liked Sophie, to a nothing. I feel that Shannon has watered down Dex from something great and cute into just a little side character.

I liked Dex a lot but I agree, since Shannon didn't really include him as much as the others as the books went on, I kind of started to notice that I didn't care about him as much as I used to.

This topic only has around six posts, but all the others have like 20 or 30, or even more... Makes you really realize how under appreciated he is!

He is, and I feel like he's the perfect best friend without people being obsessed with shipping him and Sophie and ruining that perfect friendship. (we don't talk about Nightfall...)

Here’s a vent I wrote on him a while ago:

People say Dex needs more page time. You know what I think? I think he needs to find some real friends. People who actually care for him. Who will support him. Who will help him as much as he helps them. 
It doesn’t matter if that results in more or less page time, as long as he gets what he actually deserves. He’s so hardworking and sweet and he does so much for Soph and gets nothing in return. *steps off random podium*

YES. Sophie and his relationship is amazing, but unless Sophie steps up and spends more time with him, Dex should leave and find some good friends!
