Allison Ann | 1245 comments Good evening New Wave Upside Down Cake. Thanks so much for the delicious sounding recipe. Just what our team of intrepid wedding planners needed for their most recent tea party. Hope you enjoy our story.

If you'd like to read the background story, pop over .

Much love from an appropriate social distance from Moonwalker Madeleines. :D

Jane Doe, Abby Cooper and the Book Woman of Troublesome Creek gather with friends and family at the Glass Hotel, located on Hidden Valley Road, for a pre-wedding tea party celebrating their engagement. A massive New Wave Upside Down Cake stands pride of place in the centre of the buffet table, sugar and iced by Dick Smith, pastry chef of the renowned wedding team of Smith, MacTavish and Lady A, the cake glistens with sugar crystals and splintered bones. Three women stand nearby, accepting congratulations from the tea party guests. Jane will make a fiery bride (literally, she’s a creature made of flames). Despite her nondescript name, she’s a masterclass in how not to blend. Her fiancees can’t take their eyes off her. Abby is a delicate girl of hawthorne and glass. She sparkles in the morning light, casting rainbows through the grand hotel. The third bride wore blue.

While the guests depart, Willie MacTavish and Lady Arabella Araminta Anastasia Jones scamper amongst the crowds, throwing hearts, Jordan almonds and pink smergel grubs, wedding delicacies on Planet Lothaire. When you marry on February 14th, what other theme option can you have but Valentine. Don’t forget to Save The Date.

I'm waiting for whether LaurLa will read her Green 9 book. The challenge ends in about 3,5 hours, so she has some time left. ( ). If not then I'll use your book for Green 9:)

Jeanette Madsen (bugge) | 81 comments It is so a strange feeling that this is all over now. Thank you ladies. I have had a great time doing this. It was my first time participating, and because of all of you it has been fantastic. Maybe we will “meet again next years ;-)

An extra thanks to you Kristel for being such a great captain. You have done a beautiful job.

Playing with all of you was an amazing experience! I hope to see you all during uno next year as well.

PS! Our team is currently in 2nd place. It might still change with captain updating their SS, but for right now: Yay!

Diana Costa | 1027 comments Hello Team New Wave Upside Down Cake! :)
Team Avant-Garde Pudding here :) I am late because, well, covid, damn thing, but we have chosen your recipe and created a story for you!

"We believe tea parties are more than sharing tea and cookies. It's also about sharing something about ourselves, and this is me:

My education came after life with Joe. Strange? It was a bit odd, I guess. After all, one normally thinks of education being done a classroom. I found music to be the art & soul at the center of everything I learned, but Joe never wanted me to go anywhere that truly supported my passion or creativity. I began to sound like a broken record saying, "You never let me go anywhere unless you go too!"

One day, with a certain creepy smile, he said, “I am fixed on you, Evelyn. I know that the pianist you met while you were on your girls night out changed how you feel about me. But we had rules for our engagement and you broke them.

“I love you too, I said with half a heart. Speaking those words, knowing that I didn’t fully mean them anymore, I reminisced. We were under the greenwood tree when he asked me to marry him. He promised me the world. He knew how important education was to me and that my whole world was contingent on my music. I learned my ABC’s with music, I sang to learn the vowels in kindergarten, I even sang little mnemonics to help me remember information for tests in high school. I had believed him when he said, “I’d have gone for you to the ends of the earth, if only… but then my thoughts were interrupted by a couple of kids talking nearby. One boy was talking about a book he’d been reading titled Bone Crossed. He was really into it. The other appeared completely disinterested. He had brought a game with him and it sounded like they had begun the game earlier because he said, “Let’s continue our game. I know you only wanted to quit because you’re afraid I’ll beat you. So he set up the board pieces in a middlegame position and he said, “Now watch and learn. I’ve got a new strategy that I’ll teach you. But in the unlikely event that you win I promise I'll play that new game Mom got you."

Joe, having been a bit annoyed by the my brief distraction, asked me if I truly loved him. At that moment, I heard a song coming from where the boys were playing their game. I recognized it as “Love Will Find a Way. I knew at that moment that I had to break it off with Joe. I had found another man who shared my passion for learning via music and he was the one true man to my soul."

See you all next year, I hope! :)
Stay safe.

PS: Franziska, you're having a baby!! Congratulations! :)
